Right next to the airport.

Stayed for 1 night before flight. Staff, dinner, morning coffee and shuttle to airport were 1st class.

Perfect hotel for a stay near the airport

Pros: Bedding was excellent like most Marriott's we have stayed at. Shuttle to and from the airport is what we booked this hotel for, and it was great!
Cons: Find curtains that will black out the outside light.
Location: We didn't find any restaurants or entertainment nearby that we wanted to check out. This made the shuttle to the airport that much better.
The interior of the hotel and the rooms are up to usual Marriott standards. We enjoyed our stay, and only had a few minor things that we didn't like. We found the shuttle to and from the airport to be very helpful once we determined the location for pickup (not the easiest to find at Terminal A). We were also able to return to the airport to use the AirTrain for transportation to the NJ Transit train station which allowed us to travel to a number of destinations during our stay. There isn't a whole lot near the hotel when it comes to restaurants and entertainment. We planned to use room service for food, but our flight was delayed so late that room service had already shut down for the night. Breakfast was expensive at the hotel in the morning... so we got coffee from the on-site Starbucks, and traveled via train for breakfast. The beds were fine, but I wish they were queen sized instead of double. If we weren't traveling with kids we certainly would've requested a room with a king size bed. The only other complaint we had with the room was that the curtains didn't black out all light like other Marriott's we have stayed at.

Great hotel convenient to the airport

We were greeted by a very friendly associate, and check-in was easy. The room was very comfortable. Room service was prompt, friendly, and very good. Our very early shuttle to the airport was quick. I'd definitely recommend the Marriott.

Wish I could have stayed longer

Super close to the airport but because of the way it's set up you can't really walk to it. The hotel does have a free shuttle which is a short 3 minutes ride. Staff is extremely friendly and the rooms are some of the best. You don't even hear the planes taking off or anything.

Newark Marriott

Pros: see above
The entire hotel experience was superb. The shuttle driver was helpful and friendly. The check in was quick and efficient. The hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. The room was well decorated and clean althought the sheets were showing age. The cafe restaurant had excellent food and service. The Business center allowed free printing of boarding passes which was a delight. I only wish I had more time since I was in between flights. I love Marriott hotels.

Marriott Hotel

Pros: Very convenient to travel to and from the city.
Cons: Although the room was nice, housekeeping did leave a dirty towel on the bathroom floor. It was corrected in a timely manner.
The hotel was very nice. The staff was very help with our transportation from Newark to New York. I would recommend this hotel.

Great Hotel close to the airport & train system

Pros: The STAFF are AWESOME!
Cons: We really wished they had a hot tub.
Location: This hotel is near the NJ Transit via the airport. Everything in Newark, NJ & New York City are close! The Spanish Tavern is a fabulous restaurant!
This hotel staff are the best! We did not have a car and they made sure that we weren't inconvenienced! The first night they recommended a restaurant that picked us up and served ust he best meal I have had in years! I have traveled all over the world and this was a great experience! 3 generations enjoyed this hotel together!

Very Convenient & Comfortable!

Pros: Service - Check in/out speedy, friendly. Hotel Shuttle service also great. Loved the newly renovated room.
Cons: My TV did not seem to turn on properly, although this was no big deal for me as I actually went to sleep shortly after my arrival.
Location: I used this only because of it's location at the airport, however, anticipate I will used it in the future as I travel to visit my family.
I made reservations here as I had an early morning flight the next morning out of EWR. I was visiting family in Red Bank and the airport is just far enough away for me to not want to inconvenience them with a very, very early morning drop off to catch my flight. This hotel was perfect and I stayed in a newly renovated room which was bright, modern, clean and new - I liked that. I hoped on the hotel shuttle after only waiting 5 minutes and was at my terminal (B) in 5 minutes. I will be traveling often through EWR and prefer early morning departures. I will definitely use the Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott again and highly recommend it.
