We really enjoyed our stay in New Plymouth and the State hotel. Staff was super friendly. They offered an EV charging station but only had one so we weren’t able to use it the second night. The rooms was very clean and comfortable, but small. The area is very nice with lots of dining and things to do. Downside was there was no lift in the hotel and it was quite noisy at night with loud diesel truck driving around and drunk people singing in the middle if the night. If not for these things would have rated it a 5.

Very comfortable and nice boutique hotel! Conveniently located in town, close to everything you would need. The bed was amazing! And they have FREE guest laundry. Was everything I wanted and more!

If you want a unique, boutique hotel experience look no further. What a gem. You know that Luke and Co. have really thought about the vibe of the place. Really well done. Quirky with style. NOTE: no elevator. Not a criticism just a reality for some Travellers to consider.

The room was very clean and comfortable with a good bed, clean modern bathroom with plenty of linen. The room I stayed in was a perfect size for 1 person. Lynne and her staff do a fantastic job, check in was easy to do online and Lynne provided a lovely personal service
