The Americinn in New London WI was an excellent hotel. The rooms were great and the breakfast buffet was much better than any high end hotel. I will stay at this hotel again. Again thanks to the staff for assisting my family's stay.

The room was clean and stocked with the necessities. I especially appreciated the Dove toiletries. Breakfast offered a great selection, with fresh fruit being a standout. I would suggest upgrading to sturdier paper plates and utensils for added convenience. The staff was friendly, and the location felt both convenient and safe.

We stay at this same hotel every year and have for the last 7 years. This time it wasn’t as good as it always had been. The pool area was closed do to mechanical failure, the upstairs ice machines were broken and my friend’s room had a tub that wouldn’t drain. The continental breakfast has always been good but this time the sausages were put out still frozen in the middle and most of the tables were dirty. On the positive, the rooms were spotless and comfortable as always.

At almost $250/night I would have expected much better. The front desk person was extremely rude to us on several occasions throughout our stay (reported to management). It was also not just me but others in our party. I would give them some leeway for a bad day except it continued the following day. This person very clearly does not like their job and doesn't belong in hospitality or customer service. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was very good. The pool could have been cleaner - you could see dirt along the sides and looked like it had not been cleaned very recently. The jets weren't working on the spa for some reason - didn't ask the staff about that because I didn't want to deal with the rude desk agent. The rooms were pretty quiet. Overall I give them 2 stars out of 5 mostly because of the staff. At the price they were charging for this place the staff should have been bending over backward to take care of their guests, not arguing with them! Why is it so hard to find good customer service these days?

I booked the room for 5 people. When I arrived I was told that the room would accommodate 5 but that there were only beds for 4. When I acted surprised the person at the front desk acted as though I was being unreasonable. We settled on adding a cot for a $10 extra fee. The breakfast was great as was the pool although there were no towels at the pool.

Staff made the stay! My wife left some items in the room. We called and the staff gathered her things and had them bagged and marked with her name. Would be great to have a entrance to the hotel from the main road instead of the street behind the hotel.
