Lovely family spot

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is just a short walk to the beach, as well as a really cool historic fort the kids enjoyed exploring and learning about. The house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing in the house, playing games, and using the fire pit and yard for playtime. Kayaks, beach toys and whiffle balls/bats were a bonus!

Beach/Coastal access

The stay was great. We were in town for a festival taking place close by. Walk to beach even though it was fall. Peaceful and quiet. Property managers were very helpful and responsive to questions.

Wow! I have to say, this was pretty much the perfect Maine vacation rental. We stayed at the "Coastal Cottage" with my family - me, my wife, and three teenagers (18, 16, 14). From the get-go, the Hosts made it so easy for us. We were arriving kind of late, so they made sure some lights were on in the house for us. It's a super cute Cape house, with everything you need for a great family vacation. It's on a very quiet side street, set back from the road. There are Adirondack chairs & a firepit in the backyard, as well as a grill. The kitchen is great, and the bedrooms are too. Really large beds (King in the first, two Queens in the second, and a Queen plus two Twins in the third). This was key b/c my kids are all tall! While the house doesn't have AC, I think I counted ten fans (literally) including the type you can stick in the window and close the window) - so everyone slept perfectly comfortable. In the basement, there's a huge washer and dryer, and literally everything you could possibly want for a great day at the beach - a wagon, chairs, umbrellas, cornhole, a football, wiffleball, beach towels, etc. By the way, Pemaquid Beach is a really short walk away - like 1/4 mile walk - and the Beach is truly amazing. It is white sand, not rocky, and there's an incredible snack bar with ice cream and lobster rolls, showers, bathrooms, etc. Pemaquid Point Lighthouse is a short drive away (about 3.5 mi) - definitely worth a visit. We loved the Coastal Cottage and hope to come back!
