We stayed at Deluxe double room (byzantine). It was a cave room. I am ver frequent traveller and I stayed in a cave room before but This was the worst room I stayed. The room was so humid that the bed was very wet. We couldn’t sleep. It was very unpleasent stay.

Good for price/value

Location is very good. Breakfast is also very nice. Rooms are humid but clean. There is no AC in the room (it’s not really necessary) there are only 2 car spot infront of the hotel, so it was not a big deal because we’ve stayed there on off-season, we could park our car easily. Good for price/value.

Amazing location: at the outer ring of the city and in one of the highest altitudes (1300 feet~) giving a perfect view of the rock formations and Hot air balloons in the morning! Clean and cozy room with modern facilities and amenities. The best breakfast one could ask for! The staff / owner speaks fluent English, is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He helped us arrange all the tours, personally took us to a carpet shop and was very flexible. The best part was hassle free departure PCR - on request a hospital staff visited the hotel in 20 minutes after we asked him. He collected the sample and results were received on email next afternoon! Highly recommended and best part of our trip to Turkey

Special experience - Cave room

Very kind staff in a special hotel. Sleeping in a cave room was an unforgettable experience for our kids. It was a bit cold humid which should expected so even during a summer visit. Breakfast was good. The view was amazing.

Maya Caves is in a fabulous locations with a spectacular view of the sunrise and all the magical hot air balloons. The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff, particularly Layla and Yasar. Layla's smile and energy is infectious. It was truly a great 4-day experience at Maya Cave Hotel. THIS PLACE IS DEFINITELY THE BEST PALCE TO STAY IF VISITING NEVŞEHİR, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT !!! When I first booked for Nevşehir I was not expecting this place to be this amazing I felt like I was at home. I was constantly asked if they could do anything to make my experience better, which I was not expecting. Two people in particular made my experiences so much better, I would personally like to thank Layla and Ali for honestly being the best hosts! I have never seen a hotel so clean, we popped into the market for maximum 10 minutes and came back to a fully cleaned room! The view of the balloons are amazing from the hotel and the rooms themselves are unreal! I felt like I was living in history itself! The rooms are absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you Maya Cave Hotel for giving me an experience I will never forget! Will definitely be visiting again.

Beautiful place.

Absolutely wonderful place. Very unique. Cave setting with top of the line accommodations. Marble bathroom floors, beautiful rainfall shower, great bed. The terrace just outside our room, as well as the rooftop terrace provide an outstanding view of the Cappadocia valley. You cannot get this view in the nearby town of Gorhem. Our host, Yassar was great. Very helpful and friendly. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about our stay in this hotel. It made a great trip, even better.

Yes, you are staying in a cave! It is very cute. Staff is kind and friendly. There is parking next to front door of cave only enough for one or two cars that are adventurous enough to drive down the very steep cobblestone path. Otherwise, you can easily park at the top of the hill. This is a common situation around here. They provided a wonderful breakfast special made for us when we let them know we were ready for breakfast. Beds and bedding is very comfy.

Location is central in Uschisar, just 3 minutes walk to the castle. The room is pleasant, a little disappointed that it wasn’t a proper cave room so double check your booking cos a number of them are not cave rooms. The manager is an absolute Gem, super helpful and efficient. Gave us great recommendation on everything.

Staying at Maya Cave Hotel was an excellent experience. The location is perfect as it’s just outside of Goreme which is great because it’s quiet and peaceful, and of course you get the view of both Goreme valley and Pidgeon valley which mean we can see the hot air balloons from Maya Cave and if you want, you can walk to a hill and be the only ones there. Uchisar is much closer to Goreme than Ugup which means you can walk to Goreme and catch a taxi back (which is very cheap) if you don’t want to walk back up the hill. Yasar the hotel owner is fantastic, as is his brother. Both have worked in the tourism industry for years and are very helpful and will ensure your stay is exceptional. They will give you all the tips without always trying to sell you something. This made life easy for us when they gave us options so that we can do organised tours on one day and just do our own thing the next. This is a proper cave hotel, so in our room the “Ottoman” the cave was at the back of the room and the rest was built so that had the best of both worlds and not feel cramped but can enjoy a cave experience. The hotel was beautifully styled, delicious traditional Turkish breakfast and super comfy bed and fluffy towels!
