Ideally located near Lake James State Park, you can spend your days exploring nearby hiking trails like the Fonta Flora Loop, Overmountain Victory, or the Holly Discovery (complete with child-friendly activities). If you don't mind a bit of a drive, you can visit another state park nearby, South Mountains, for a more challenging hike like Chestnut Knob or a beautiful waterfall hike like High Shoal Falls before grabbing a refreshing craft beer at Fonta Flora's open-air brewery at Whippoorwill Farm a mere 5 minutes from the home. Also located in Nebo is the award-winning South Creek Winery, which welcomes pets and hosts numerous events throughout the year.

While the home offers access to Lake James, it does NOT offer access to Camp Lake James amenities. The boat, kayaks, and jet skis permanently docked are NOT available to renters.
