The owners were lovely people and very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble- we were drenched after a wet day and they kindly dried our clothes. The hot tub was a lovely bonus on a cold wet day. Our room and all areas were clean and tidy. Would highly recommend

What a wonderful charming lodge in Tongariro! Everything seems to have been carefully thought through and executed for guests to have an enjoyable comfortable experience. The rooms feel like home with comfortable and generous bedding, ample seating area and nice tea/coffee selections. The common areas are super functional and comfortable as well—everything is designed to feel like a charming mountain lodge home. Andre also provides excellent tips and information for the surrounding area and activities. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this place.

The staff were very nice and even gave me a trail recommendation given we could not do the alpine crossing as planned that day! The unit was very clean and cozy and had exactly what was needed for a comfortable stay. The location was great, only 15 minute drive from the national park visitor center. The property is very peaceful and I enjoyed watching the alpacas at night from the back yard. Would highly recommend!

Large clean room, comfy beds with high quality linens. We got the deluxe room which was very spacious, bright and has a large balcony. Only downside is that it is right on a busy road, but at night the traffic dies down and we didn’t even notice it.

The room was very comfortable and our host was great. The continental breakfast had yogurt, fruit, bread, cereal and was available early in case you wanted to head out early and the hot tub was great after a day of hiking.
