Just had the most relaxing stay at the Fufu Nara. The property is exquisite. The staff was absolutely lovely - some of the best service weโ€™ve experienced on our travels. Breakfast and dinner were top notch (we were able to experience both the Japanese and Teppanyaki options - do both if you can). Our room was spacious, immaculate and perfectly appointed. The onsen was so relaxing. Nara Park is a short walk away. We hope to return to the Nara Fufu on future trips!

This is a very high class hotel with Michelin rated restaurant. The whole property was once a historical villa, the garden of which is still part of the hotel. The food is excellent. The restaurant is in a separate building down the hill from the hotel. It's a few minutes pleasant walk through a small bamboo forest. If lacking mobility, the staff will drive you in the van. Nara Park is bordering the property, and you can walk to many of Nara's famous sites in 10 or 15 minutes if you're inclined to. The rooms are spacious and well designed (the hotel is only a few years old). Rooms have a large private onsen bath on the balcony. Staff are attentive and welcoming.
