Decent hotel but taxi essential

Had a long layover in Nanjing and needed a place to stay with easy access back to the airport. I though that the hotel was closer to the Southern Railway train station but in effect we had to take a 10 minute taxi making this less convenient than we had hoped. There is nothing around the hotel and it is a 20 minute walk to the nearest subway. The lobby smells like smoke but the staff are very friendly. The room was very clean, modern, and had a fantastic shower. The beds were good too. Even though it wasn’t the most convenient hotel to get to I might stay here again if I had a layover as it is close enough to the train station to make getting back to the airport easy enough and close enoigh to the center of town (via taxi) to take in a quick sightseeing tour.
