"This cabin is in a beautiful location. The cabin was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The view of the lake and the abundant wildlife was just what we were hoping for. The night sky is indescribable. I would recommend this cabin as a number one choice if you plan on staying in this area. Jamey was easy to talk with, readily available to answer questions and provided a lot of information on where to eat and who to contact for boat tours."

"The house is on a beautiful little hill right on the waters with some fish biting right off the dock. The house was advertised to have three bedrooms and a loft with bunk beds and a futon, but in reality, the house has two master bedrooms and a two-level loft without locking doors. In the top loft, there is a twin/queen bunk bed and two twin beds. In the bottom loft with the pool table, there is a double futon. The description in the rooms & beds section does a better job of explaining this (e.g., gameroom loft and upper loft), but this could have been clearer. The gameroom loft doesn't have curtains (and it's on the way to the upper loft), so it's challenging to sleep there in the summers when the sun comes up at 5. We expected three bedrooms with locking doors for privacy. Also, technically, there are no hot tubs, but there is a jetted tub in one of the master bathrooms. There was supposed to be free wifi but we found out it is limited to 2 GB per week only a few days before our trip. The internet was not unavailable the week we stayed, which we understand was not the fault of our host and we believe Gary tried every avenue to try to get us internet. We understand some of these misaligned expectations are partially just due to how VRBO works and maybe outdated descriptions. The fire pit and boulders outside were the highlight for our family. Kids loved scrambling safely around the house and making s'mores. "

"I came with my parents, my 9yrs old son, and our dog. The experience was peaceful and the place beautiful! The property is amazing, clean, comfortable and beautiful. It is true that despite the stores it is very bright in the mornings because of the design of the house, but it the house is so pleasant that it doesn’t matter. Don't be afraid of the goodlse poops on the water edges of the property (including one of the 2 piers, because after all, it is their place. We brushed it off with a pine branch and it was all ok. We came to trek, but were disappointed to find out that we couldn't take our dog with us. This is the nature of all the national parks in the US. We hired a canoe very close to us and we enjoyed exploring the river on which the house is overlooking. Be aware that it is a good idea to book a canoe in advance if you don't have already one. There is one shop at the gaz station 10 minutes away, but there is nothing fresh there, so you need to plan in advance. The owners were very friendly, and all was easy and pleasant. We want to come back! The only downside - which is nothing"
