Location was wonderful! The beds not comfortable and the deck to the beach needs a good clean up. The kitchen needs mixing bowls and silverware.

The house was fine , the beds were not comfortable , the deck furniture needs replaced also you need steps to the beach, but other than that the place was great

October Outer Banks

The property was in a great location. We enjoyed being able to have the ocean just a few yards away. The house was as described. I would like to recommend a couple of things: a couple crab crackers, a different coffee maker, and a small vacuum to get the sand up with. Otherwise it is the perfect little house on the beach.

Labor Day week 2024

The house was clean. The back deck is in badly needed repair. There is a lot of rotting on one of the rails. Getting to the beach on there side was very steep. For older people hard to get down and back up. I have pictures of the deck but don’t know how to upload on here.

Nagshead Vacation 2024

The location is great! Walking distance to restaurants too. Short walk to the beach which was perfect for baby bloomers like us. The house has potential. We had so much fun during our stay. I would stay there again next year.

It is a great location. There is some issues of being clean. There was mold on shower head. vents are moldy and dusty. The paint in closet in kitchen is coming off in corner, The nails kept coming out of deck. The dishwasher was very hard to start. the facet of from mater room had really bad currosion on it. The bath mat was so dirty we threw it away. The beds are not at all comfortable.The access to beach is terrible!!!!!!I do have photos. oh yeah one of the rails are almost all gone. The door was open. The locking system is broken.

We had the best weather in the 90's and NO rain. Ocean was warm and pleasant. The only glitch was we had no cable from Tues. until we left this morning, this was called in on Wed. but I guess it was lost somewhere between the rental co. and their work order section didn't really bother us too much with great weather and a killer classic rock station (95.3) We had the best of what was a relaxing vacation!!!! Thanks

Disappointed

House was not cleaned very good when arrived, filter in ceiling for a/c was very dirty not cleaned , sand and dust under beds and couches and full of sand, matress on allbeds are old and lumpy and squeaky, bathtub was not cleaned when we arrived, house on inside very outdated, outside very much overgrowth needed to be taken care of better, wood on both front and back not very good , needs new boards, sand dune needs to be cut down some so beach can be seen out on deck, appliances were good but needs to be updated , --- disappointed

Great location, needs updates and a good cleaning.

I would like to first start by saying that you could hear the ocean from anywhere in the house and at times, even feel the house swaying as if you were right on the waves. The listing seemed a bit misleading though. We thought we were going to have a direct view from the deck but there was a huge sand dune blocking it. The deck itself was in disrepair. My husband stepped on a nail that went through his foot and I stepped on an uneven board. We're both still feeling the pain. We also had a few uninvited guests as we found some cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen/living room. In going through some of the cabinets we noticed that a couple of the knobs came off in our hands and there are also shelves missing. On the way into Nags Head we saw a few Dollar Generals. It would definitely be worth getting a new pot/pan set and throwing the old ones away. Most of them were dented or just over used and didn't have lids. It would have been nice to be able to open some windows to get fresh air moving through the house, however, they mostly seemed to be sealed shut and the ones we could open needed to be propped up and none of them had screens. The shower had great pressure but the drain, like all the others in the house couldn't take the water and backed up. In addition to the knobs on the kitchen cabinets, the hallway door knob on one of the bedroom doors also came off in our hand every time we tried to close it and the towel rack in the bathroom kept falling out. Also, with central air being one of the amenities, I'm not sure why there was a window until in the bedroom, especially when it blew warm air. There were a few brooms to help with sand, however, one was broken in half and left on the deck. The vacuum was a nice touch, but seemed to have lost it's suction years ago. This was definitely a nice area even if we couldn't see the ocean, however, a few simple maintenance projects, a $70 faucet for the half bath, an exterminator and a deep clean every once in a while would have really made this place stand out.
