Perfect stay at OBX. Absolutely worth getting a house right on the beach as this one is. Beautiful views of the ocean from the deck. The top level of the house (kitchen/living area) is beautiful and spacious. Entire house was very clean. Kitchen had plenty of dishes, but note you should bring extra kitchen towels and wash rags. Bedrooms were all large and comfortable. We did bring some sheets from home which turned out to be a good idea. Bathrooms were fine, though one of the sink drains was in need of repair. Not a huge deal. Master bath was large with a very large tub which our smallest child enjoyed using.Overall, if we return to the OBX we will definitely try to book this house again. This house exceeded our expectations.

Ocean front paradise

It’s not the biggest house in the area, but it is well taken care of and has plenty on space. 4 bedrooms that can sleep at least 11. Good open floor plan on top floor. Hot tub on the top floor balcony so you can see the ocean. The only couple of downfalls, the stairs are slick so either wear slippers or go bare foot. Socks are too slick. Also there are 3 bathroom but you only get 2 tools of toilet paper which I think is mentioned in the arrival instructions but beware and come prepared. Otherwise, this place is amazing and we would stay here again without question. Thank you for a great stay.

Relaxing Early Christmas on the Ocean

Our stay at "Toes in the Sand" was perfect - we were looking for a relaxing, no-stress getaway for our family and this provided exactly what we needed. Property was in great shape, clean, welcoming, and easy to make ourselves at home.

Great Property on the Beach

This house was just as advertised. It was in a great location with plenty of space for two families. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked, probably the most stocked of any vacation rental I was in. We enjoyed the property and would book it again. My only complaint was the linens and towels that were provided, they were very low quality. The sheets were not nice feeling at all and we only received one tiny towel and washcloth per person for 6 nights.

Great Place

The place was fantastic. Right on the beach with about a 30 second walk till your toes were in the ocean. Great location. The only downside was that we had to bring a lot of items that are typically included when I stay at other rental properties. If you stay here, expect to bring your own toilet paper, sponge for cleaning dishes, shampoo, soap, salt, pepper, coffee, garbage bags. You'll also have to make your bed when you get there as the sheets come wrapped up in plastic. All of this was communicated by the rental company well before we checked in so it wasn't a surprise when we got there or anything. It was just a little different than other rentals is all and I don't recall seeing all this on the vrbo listing (if I missed it, then apologies to whoever deserves the apology). The place was really, really great though.

Very nice house and view!

Everything was great and in good condition. We had a nice view from the top floor balcony but dont expect any from the 2nd floor, sand dunes block that view although it wasnt an issue really. The one complaint is there was no washer & dryer. The listing said there was but none were there. We called and was told is in the ground floor behind a locked door. Found the key in the kitchen as they said but it didnt work in the only locked door which was labeled "Owner's Closet". Need to bring more clothes with you.

Great stay

House was clean and airy. Ocean views from the main floor balcony were perfect. Literally 20 feet from our door to the boardwalk to the beach. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. We had some minor problems with one of the AC units, but rental company responded very quickly when we called. Would definitely recommend.

Family Fun with a Beachfront View

The property was beautiful. Looks just like the pictures and an AMAZING view! Plenty of space for the whole family. The couches were comfy and hot tub was clean. Lots of activities to do nearby mini golf, goat carting, Coralla Horse tours, outlets, and great restaurants; especially Maui, Maui! I can’t want to go back in the future! 😊

New Year’s Eve Stay

The location was the best part!!

The house itself was great. However, it was not the cleanest or well kept up place. The refrigerator did not work. TV remotes did not work, or the batteries were dead. There are three bathrooms, but there were only two rolls of toilet paper (each bathroom only had a couple sheets left on each roll). Again, the location, and the layout of the house were perfect, a beautiful view from the decks!
