Villa Ani - magnificent

Villa Ani was impeccable- everything was wonderful. Pool cool, interiors finished to extremely high standards. The owner, Roland, thought of everything and was a lovely man. We arrived late and a delicious pasticcio was ready, cooked by his wife and raki was offered to toast our arrival- yammas. The location in the village of Angeliana is great for exploring this undiscovered part of Crete. No real reservations except if there was a better taverna in the village that we could have walked to - but thoroughly recommended

Wonderful Villa

This is a wonderful Villa with immaculate furnishings and fantastic pool and outdoor area. We as a family stayed for a week and found that the Villa was as good if not better than the photos. It is situated within a small village, but does have a small supermarket and a cafe which is open everyday. A bigger town Perama is only a short drive away (5-6 mins - car hire is recommended) and this has 4 larger supermarkets. The host Arber and cleaning lady Eleni were very friendly and helpful and are always available if you need to contact them. Would highly recommend this Villa.

Greece Family Stay

The property is just stunning! Gorgeous, spacious and the online pictures are very accurate. Beautiful pool in a very small village. There's a supermarket ( fresh baked bread and everything you need ) just 30 seconds away and a cafe also round the corner. You'll need a car if you want to see the local sights and get to the beach etc. Highly recommended for families who want to stay in an authentic, quiet village away from tourist trap. 2 small points - 1) The wifi is poor ( you cant stream shows ) 2) We could have done with a house manual ( instructions / guidance ). Thanks!

Beautiful traditional villa

The villa is stunning, just as it looks in the photos if not better. The villa was incredibly clean, no expense has been spared at the build and upkeep of this property. The wifi wasn’t great, and for the most part we had to use our data which was a little frustrating. We had a few issues with the water but the owner reacted immediate sorted it out for us. My only comment was that it is more remote than perhaps the write up suggests - you really do need to go out of the village for any real shops or tavernas. However the local village and countryside is beautiful and the people so incredibly friendly. I’d most definitely recommend a visit!

Perfection

We were completely overwhelmed by this Villa, and by the welcome we received from Mr Roland. We only stayed for 7 nights... I wish we’d stayed for much longer. We arrived late on a Sunday night, at the end of the season, and were greeted personally by Mr.Roland.. He gave us a detailed tour of the villa, and explained all of the equipment / switches etc.. To cap it all, Roland had thoughtfully prepared a huge dish of pasticcio and kept it warm in the oven for our arrival.. We had been worried that we might not be able to get any food that late at night. The fridge & cupboards were stocked with some essentials - Milk, beer, wine, coffee, tea, bread etc. The Villa itself is extremely well furnished. It’s luxurious, with modern facilities, while still retaining the rustic charm of the original Venetian architecture. There’s air-conditioning & heating in every room. The WiFi’s good. Even in October, the pool was warm enough to use (the kids were in it everyday). Our visit was late in October, effectively the last week of the Season, so many of the facilities in the nearby towns of Panormas and Perama were closing for the season. The whole area had a wonderful “winding-down” feel. The actual village of Anggeliana has a small supermarket, but you need to go (drive) further afield to find Restaurants and bars etc. It’s a few kilometres in-land in a very agricultural area - Watch out for the local farmers driving their pick-up trucks like Formula-1 race cars :-) The main “National” road is only about 10kms from the Villa, so day-trips further afield were easy. We visited Knossos, and Kournas Lake (twice - highly recommended). In summary, this Villa was perfect for us (party of 5) - It’s furnished to a very high-standard... I just wish we’d stayed longer.

Tolle Unterkunft mit sagenhaftem Gastgeber

Wir waren mit vier Erwachsenen auf Kreta. Arber ( der Gastgeber) hat mich schon im Vorwege per WhatsApp angeschrieben und Informationen über die Unterkunft und die Anreise zukommen lassen. Das war sehr hilfreich! Danke dafür. Die Unterkunft selbst ist wie in der Anzeige beschrieben. Ein ruhiger Hinterhof mit Pool und Sitzgelegenheiten lädt zum Verweilen und Baden ein. Drei Schlafzimer sorgen für ausreichend Platz. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas versteckt zwischen anderen Häusern und wirkt von außen sehr unscheinbar. Aber im Haus selbst fehlt es an nichts. Die Kommunikation mit Arber klappte jederzeit reibungslos und weil die Unterkunft am Folgetag unserer Abreise nicht vermietet war, konnten wir am Abreisetag sogar bis 15.00 bleiben, da unser Flug erst um 19.40 ging. Vielen Dank nochmal dafür! Wir können die Unterkunft in jedem Fall nur weiterempfehlen und kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder.

Wunderbares Haus in ruhiger Umgebun

Hervorragend ausgestattetes Haus, liebevoll hergerichtet und sehr viel Platz im Innenraum, im Patio und im Garten. Leider war es für den Pool zu kalt. Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Das nächste Mal kommen wir im Mai nach Kreta, dann können wir wirklich alles nutzen.

Excellent stay - fab villa!

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Ani for 8 nights with our 2 five year old children. The villa was so clean and a great space for our stay. Eleni was fab and they even sorted a cake out for my partners birthday, which happened whilst we were there. Quite noisy dogs nearby but not so noticeable after a while. A great stay - we will be back!

Tolles Haus in der Nähe von Rethymnon

Schönes autentische kretisches Haus mitten in einen Dorf. Der Vermieter hat das Haus selber renoviert und man sieht es an vielen kleinen Details. Er war immer erreichbar und hat sofort bei Problemen geholfen. Bei Ankunft gab es frisches Obst und Gemüse. Wasser könnten man dank Filter aus dem Wasserhahn trinken. Das Haus wurde 2x mal die Woche gereinigt und auch die Bettenwäsche wurden gewechselt. Wir können dieses Objekt nur weiterempfehlen. Ein Auto ist allerdings notwendig. Danke an die Putzfrau und dem Besitzer Roland....wenn wir nach Kreta zurück kommen dann gerne wieder zu dir. Liebe Grüße Jeanette & Kai und der Hund Kurt

Great Villa

Excellent property, great pool. Everything we needed was there. Roland met us on arrival and explained everything about the property and provided some great ideas for places to eat etc. property was very clean on arrival and cleaned during stay with fresh towels etc. overall a great stay . Only point to note is bed in main bedroom is very comfortable but a bit noisy at times, sure it would be fine with a bit of tightening. Really enjoyed our stay and would return and happily recommend

Outstanding return to Villa Ani

We spent 2 weeks at Villa Ani in 2018 & would have returned sooner if not for the pandemic. It’s a beautiful villa and the pool and garden are well looked after. The local area is beautiful with easy access to the coast and lovely hill villages.

Wundervolle Unterkunft, sehr zu Empfehlen

Sehr gepflegte und saubere Villa. Wir waren mit zwei Familien dort 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder (3-5Jahre). Auch mit kleinen Kindern sehr zu empfehlen. Der Pool lässt sich durch ein Törchen vom Hof abtrennen. Sehr schönes und einheimischen Dorf.

Peaceful and relaxing.

Initially booked prior to Covid and as a result of restrictions it was 3 years before we finally got there thanks to the patients and help of the company. A lovely and quiet location. The local people were extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed. There is a lovely coffee shop literally 2 minutes walk and we were always made to feel welcomed. The villa is ideally located and easy routes into Rethymno and the Venetian Harbour which is about half hour drive. Closer is the stunning village of Margaritai, with its amazing views to the sea from Teverna Mantalos and wonderful ceramic shops which is only a 10 minute drive. The property is stunning and spacious, making it an ideal place to unwind.

Lovely house in the heart of a small traditional village near the coast.

This house dates from Venetian times and has been completely renovated by the owner 5 years ago. Air con throughout, good outside space and blissful pool. Walking distance to shops and a family run Taverna with delicious food. Only 20 mins to the coast with water sports and free sunbeads. Had a great time!

Empfehlenswerte Villa

Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Es erwartete uns ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, welcher uns viele Tipps und Anregungen gab. Das Haus wurde aller 3 Tage gründlich gereinigt, der Handtuchwechsel war mit eingeschlossen. Die Kinder haben den Pool sehr genossen. Obwohl es im Ort einen Supermarkt, ein Café und ein einfaches Gyrosrestaurant gibt, braucht man unbedingt ein Mietauto. Es lohnen sich Fahrten in die Umgebung. Fahrtzeit bis zum Meer, je nach Strand ca. 20-25 Minuten.

Charmantes Haus in einem kleinen Dorf

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und waren begeistert von diesem perfekt hergerichteten alten kretischen Haus. Hier wurde an alles gedacht. Der Pool hat ein perfekte Größe. Ein Innenhof mit Grillplatz und Brotofen war unser tgl Essplatz. Frisches Brot und alles andere im Supermarkt nur 1 min entfernt in einem typischen Dorf frei von Touristen.
