Noisy location beside 2 busy roads and a club.

The advantages of this motel is the close proximity to the supermarket, club for dining and tourist information centre. The downside is the noise from the club at night and the busy roads next to the rooms.

The rooms are advertised as soundproof, this is the reason I booked at the Burke and Wills and they had a pool, the rooms are in-fact not sound proof! Complete false advertising and robbery, we didn’t get to sleep until after 3:30am after the buffs club across the road closed, I asked to change rooms the next morning as we were booked in for a 2 night stay, I was advised by Carrol ‘it is our fault for arriving late’ and ‘it's mount isa what do you expect’, some training in customer service would be beneficial, I bumped into the guests in the room next to us in the morning and they had a horrible sleep aswell, the pool was also closed. . I will never be staying here again, mould in the shower, someone else’s towels hanging in bathroom on arrival, a rude robbery.
