This is absolutely one of the nicest VRBO rentals in which we have ever stayed!! The Barn is so unique and fun! Mary Ella and Jim, the hosts, were quick to respond to any questions we asked, and when we had the opportunity to meet them in person, we found them to be just delightful. The Barn is very well-equipped with everything we could possible have needed. The kitchen is well-appointed with lots of dishes, pots, and small appliances. There are plenty of plush linens and lots of good lighting including ample night lights. My husband was particularly happy to find very comfortable recliner chairs at each end of the sofa unit. The property itself is well-maintained with lots of flowers near the barn doors, landscape lighting, and there is even a little creek at the bottom of the hill. There is also a nice picnic table and a fire pit with chairs close by in the back yard. The Barn is just a short drive to many restaurants, grocery stores, and downtown Mt. Dora which is a quaint and charming little town with shopping and restaurants. It should be noted that this rental is upstairs, and while there is a sturdy stair hand rail and plenty of lighting for going up and down, the stairs are a little steeper than usual and take a 90-degree turn halfway up. We so enjoyed our stay in the barn and are looking forward to returning next year. Thank you, Mary Ella and Jim, for sharing your barn with us!
