Il Paretaio sits on the edge of the Chianti region and offers a beautiful setting for a peaceful holiday for two. This romantic hideaway is perfect for couples who appreciate tranquillity, privacy and a lovingly designed accommodation.



The small village of Moncioni is just a few minutes away by car and offers a bar and a grocery shop. Mercatale Valdarno and Gaiole in Chianti can both be reached in around 25 minutes and offer a good selection of restaurants and shops. The larger town of Montevarchi is only 21 kilometres away and has several supermarkets as well as a train station with direct connections to Florence, ideal for a relaxed day trip. The famous castles and wineries of the Chianti Classico, as well as Siena, Arezzo and the UNESCO-listed Val d’Orcia, are all within easy reach.

The location of the villa is peaceful, surrounded by nature. The white-painted house with its large windows, glass extension and comfortably furnished loggia blends beautifully into the landscape. Framed by woodland and overlooking olive groves, the pergola with table and chairs, the small lawn area with terracotta planters and the terraces with various seating areas provide inviting places to relax. The pool is located on a lower level and surrounded by greenery.



Inside, a warm and charming atmosphere awaits. Carefully selected furniture, colourful chairs, vintage pieces and decorative details add a delightful personal touch. The bright living area in the extension is glazed on three sides, allowing natural light to fill the space. An original wooden and metal spiral staircase leads to the first floor, where the inviting bedroom with four-poster bed is located.

The photos don’t do it justice!

We had a wonderful week at Il Paretaio. The house sits in a beautiful garden on a terraced hillside with a lovely pool and lots of different areas to lounge and relax. The area is packed with wildlife, the lavender in the garden is a mass of butterflies by day and at night the woods beside the house fill with hundreds of fireflies - it’s magical. The house its self is very comfortable, everything you need, including a very good bed, not always a given in a rental property. Riccarda, the owner is lovely and happy to help with anything you need. Thank you, Riccarda, for a wonderful week.

Ein Ort um sich selbst zu finden

Wir hatten einen grossartigen, 2wöchigen Aufenthalt im Paretaio. Alles, was auf den Fotos zu sehen ist, ist genau so! Das Haus und der Garten ist mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig und abgeschieden, was wir sehr genossen haben. Das Grundstück ist riesig und komplett umzäumt. Der Teil beim Haus ist sogar zusätzlich eingezäunt, so kann man sich 2 Bereiche schaffen, was mit Hund super war. Der Pool, war toll und wurde regelmässig durch die Vermietenden kontrolliert und gesäubert. Schade, dass der Hund nicht rein durfte. Wir werden sicher in Betracht ziehen nochmal dort Ferien zu machen.
