Wayside was a fun stay. The kitchen came in handy as did the fireplace, as the weather started to get cold in the evenings. Across the street is rise and shine (a breakfast spot). All in a 5 minute walk in every direction there are wine tasting rooms, shopping, food, art galleries, and more. Make reservations for everything you really want to do. It’s a small town that is big on tourism.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Staff was very courteous and professional. Quiet room (I think the windows are double-paned).Shout out to the staff taking care of the rooms! Very clean, walked into the bedroom and the bed looked like a big cloud! Nice little touches the way the towels were displayed (hotels don't seem to do this anymore). Location is excellent. I left my car parked and walked everywhere. Across the street is shopping. I had breakfast at Rise & Roam, and dinner a couple times at the Pub there. Also, the hotel had an unexpected water pipe that needed to be repaired but hotel was communicated effectively and the issue did not interrupt my stay at all. Will definitely stay here again.

This quaint property is in the heart of downtown Carmel. Wonderful restaurants are within walking distance as well as to Carmel beach! This is our second time staying here and will stay again the next time we visit!
