Bed was comfortable and room was spacious. No hot water in the shower and no ice machines. They did however allow us to check out later since 10am was way too early for us!

Hotel nice, restaurant very poor

Pros: The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Good location.
Cons: The bathrooms were old and in poor condition.
Location: In the summer I imagine there are many activities nearby, however, in the fall there was not a lot to do nearby.
The motel was nice and the staff were very helpful and polite. However, the attached restaurant was very poor. The restaurant staff were rude and the restaurant was dirty. I would never go back that restaurant.

Pros: Dirty rooms with bugs, garbage left under furniture, stained sheets, hair in drawers, dust caked on fan blades. 1500 words is not enough to write.
Cons: Cleanliness and professionalism is a must. Beware of what is said to be renovated, this Inn was not renovated, it was more like a bait and switch!
Location: We love MTK - every season we are here! I will never stay at this Inn again! Unprofessional, dirty, bugs, smells, ripped seat cushions on patio.
Pulled up to a sewer backup. After checking in & getting to our room, our kids needed to use the restroom. My daughter goes in, & finds ants all over the sink & the toilet. My husband went down to speak to the front desk clerk. The clerk, Nico, came back to our room and understood our concerns. The toilet did not flush, the fan covered in dust, sheets had numerous stains on them, never mind the dead flies on the floor, the smell of mildew, & the ants-which were also all over the furniture and wound up in my pocket book; we were only in the room for 10-min. We asked for another room & was told they were fully booked. At this point, my husband asked for a refund & was told that the owner is on the property & will call us ASAP. No one called-it was 11 pm; we had no choice but to stay. Throughout the night I felt like I was being bitten alive. I have more pics, but they are too large so I will try under a separate post. We left before checkout-asking again to speak to Ed & was told he was sleeping & would call us later. After several attempts to speak with Ed, we were told numerous stories-the last story was that he is in the hospital. 6-days passed until my husband received a call from Ed. The most unprofessional conversation was had; Ed screamed at my husband & told him that the ants are a part of the Inn, & that this is what it is like when you visit a town like MTK. Ed did not want to hear my husband; cut him off & hung up on him. We always stay in MTK, but never here again!

Great off-season value

Pros: Great location, especially close to restaurants and marinas. Room was extremely clean, large, and comfortable. WiFi worked well.
Cons: A coffee maker in the room would be nice, especially for early risers and fishermen!
Location: Across the street from the Montauk Boat Basin, in the heart of the restaurant district near the Inlet. Great for biking, boating, fishing, dining.
I was in Montauk for a cod-fishing trip. Rather than drive all night before an early morning departure, we elected to stay in town. The Inn is across the street from a marina--couldn't have been more convenient. Also a short walk from restaurants and the Montauk Inlet. The Inn is more motel than hotel, but it is extremely clean and comfortable. Staff were accommodating, including a late check-out request (this was in January--I wouldn't count on it during the peak season).

Great location at Montauk Harbor

In the area for a wedding and decided to make a vacation of it. Great location for restaurants and sightseeing without the bustle of town. Nice motel with a large, clean room. Would have liked a coffeemaker in the room, but shame on me for not checking.

Good find in Montauk

Pros: Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Toiletries offered in room.
My expectations were exceeded with this hotel. It was cheap (relative to other hotels in Montauk), but it was a great find. Clean, spacious, pool and BBQ's on the premises, and within walking distance to some restaurants, beach and stores. Not in the main part of the town, but close enough to everything to be worth it. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Once every forty years.

Made a late reservation through Travelocity while sitting for dinner just up the road. Arrived to two great desk clerks and then met the owner sitting at his barber's chair. Had a fun chat and got some thoughts on places to go in Montauk, and Baja California! Room was great, much better than anticipated. Very well finished, crown molding and well above average wall hangings, not the usual motel prints. Doors on both ends of the room, one to the pool and patio out front and to the back deck and parking. Beds were very comfortable and the place very clean. Hopefully won't be another forty years before I get back to Montauk but I see every reason to book here again when I do.

Pros: zero
Cons: ?
Location: You are there for the ocean and beach, that's what you do.
After you get past the slow draining shower drain, the smell and sight of sewers overflowing in the morning parking lot, they don't have a linen policy where requesting more towels to clean up the overflowing shower drain which they did not supply, so I used a bathroom rug, location is the only thing this has going for it and quite honestly if it doesn't matter that you face the storage lot of a marina, then the beach being down the road is okay. Otherwise stay away from this place.

Lovely hotel close to the bay in Montauk

Pros: Everything! Walking distance to bay and Gosman's, beautifully updated, close to everything, quiet, incredible value for Montauk.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Nice and quiet area, yet 5 mins. from the ocean beach, town and close to everything there is to do in Montauk.
Arrived and so happy that everything just as beautiful as website pictures. Staff so accommodating and friendly, was even able to check in super early so we could go to beach. Offered all kinds of suggestions which were very helpful.Location great- nice and quiet compared to crowded ocean strip of motels. Room very spacious, with a nice love seat and over- sized club chair, huge closet etc.Super clean, new mattress with fresh white linens and duvet. Our room had a deck- nice perk. Having a refrigerator in the room was great. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing. I know there was a family with children in the next room, but never heard a sound. I couldn't get a cell signal, and my dad was trying to get through to me, so Kenny came to our room to let us know and gave us his phone to use. Wonderful "you're like family" feel to this place.
