Not as good as expected

The last 50mts of 'road' to the property was just boulders and rubble. If we hadn't been fortunate to have a large car, we would not have been able to access the property on a daily basis or at all. There was no living room, so on the cooler evenings there was no where comfortable to sit. The pool was a great size, but the area was not finished, and getting into and out of the pool was very awkward. The pool and this area are not suitable for children. The kitchen needs updating, and if advertising for English people, a kettle of some sort should be provided. It would be a good idea to have some information on the local area in the house. especially where there are supermarkets, and the beaches, On the plus side, there was plenty of room outside to enjoy eating. The beds were very comfortable. The location of the house is very convenient for travelling around. This would be the most wonderful place to stay if the above were attended to.

Wonderful place to stay

Beautiful setting. Property is lovely with views of the ocean and surrounding olive groves. Nice to have all the outdoor space and a pool. Close to many towns such as Locorotondo and Alberobello. Fabulous restaurant quite close by. If you plan on cooking the kitchen could use updating. Great for 4 adults or family with children.

Beautiful property set in a quiet and peaceful location

Anna met us and brought along an English teacher and another friend to greet us and show us around the property. Everything was as expected and, in fact, there was more room in this trullo than we expected. The house and outside areas were very clean and everything worked well. We easily explored Monopoli, Alberobello and Matera from here. The little pizzeria in the village wasn't either full or not open everytime we went to use it. We found a lovely pizzeria called L'Eden in nearby Impalata. Very good food, friendly staff and inexpensive. The only minor criticism is that the house was a little under-stocked for drinking glasses and kitchen equipment and there was no corkscrew. So we bought one and have left it in the house.
