Our room was disappointing. We have stayed with RIU on 4 other occasions and the standards at this one did not meet our expectations and were not as nice. Our room got no sunlight. It looked over a back alleyway. Towels in the room were very old and threadbare. The size of the room and the bathroom was half the size of any RIU we have ever stayed in. While the food was good with a lot of variety the restaurants were quite chaotic at times. Wait staff would seat people at tables on some occasions and at other times it was a free for all. The restaurant capacity was not enough for the amount of people waiting to eat and we were required to line up outside the restaurant. While our time at this hotel was okay the standard of RIU wasn't evident and it did not meet our expectations of this chain. This may mean we don't book with RIU in the future.

I have to give one star for cleanliness just because there was zero enforcement of hygiene. People coughing and sneezing into the air, communal tongs without hand sanitizer at the food stations, and potential food poisoning?? Three of the members of my family including my bay got severe diarrhea, vomiting, and fevers. Please please please enforce stricter hygiene policies especially during flu season!

Good experience overall. The dining options at the resort were not good, the food was not good at all. However, there were a lot of close restaurants just off the resort that were unbelievable and very good! Some of the best food we’ve had! If you’re okay with eating out for every meal, this place is a great option for you. Also, the beach is not on the property. It is off the resort so you have to walk to it. The beach is very clean and the water is absolutely beautiful but we were under the impression the beach was attached to the resort. This resort was definitely for an older crowd ( which we loved ) but keep in mind things do close early at the resort because of that.

Room was 26 Celsius (very warm) when we arrived. I phoned down to reception and they said no AC, open your door. I explained the sun was beaming in the window but they did not care or offer to move us to a room on the other side that would be much cooler. We were over looking the side street so spent a hot night listening to outside noise on old mattresses. I understand energy savings but listing said AC. They should advertise correctly when they shut it off for the season. I would never have booked. Requested king and received 2 twins. Found the buffet to be lacking in selection and quality. And it is fully self service including drinks. Would choose something else if back in the area. The room was clean and easy drive to the airport.
