The staff was very courteous very nice and we had a decent room but I think next time I’m gonna book another room with more windows. It was a little noisy on that street but that is a very busy busy street so other than that the accommodations were very good. The place is very clean and I highly recommend it.

The room was very clean and in great condition. Unfortunately the building has terrible sound insulation. People in the hallway sounded like they were sitting next to us. There was also something metal clanging against the wall outside all night long. And the street noise (even 7 stories up) carried right through the windows / walls. We gave up on the bedroom in the middle of the night and slept in the living room. That was also a function of the bed being incredibly firm - way firmer than almost any hotel bed. The pull out couch was also fairly firm but comfortable enough.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay. My first room had a broken shower, mould, grime and was in poor condition. Staff were often loud in the corridor, playing music and having conversations late at night. After asking for repairs, no one arrived, so I was moved to another room where the shower leaked badly and one morning there was no running water at all. The hotel also sent frequent unsolicited WhatsApp messages. Staff were generally curt and unhelpful, and the hotel has ignored all follow-up emails. For the price, this was a very poor experience and I would not recommend.

The room was simple. Bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was not convenient, nowhere to hang wet towels and not super clean. Also i arrived late at night and did not notice that the patio door to the emergency stairs/balcony was propped open all night. I had also booked at another ULIV accidently which was not their fault but it seemed super complicated to rebook me at the hotel i showed up to. They were unable to accomodate me, or help me. It seemed really weird to the person behind the desk that i booked at a hotel with essentially the same name, and in the same neighborhood.

I stayed at the hotel last week and really enjoyed my time there. When I first arrived, I had a small issue with my room, and Jessica at the front desk took amazing care of me. She immediately moved me to another room, arranged cleaning, and even checked in afterward to make sure everything was okay. Her kindness truly made my stay. The location was perfect for a first-time visitor and a solo traveler like me. It felt safe, busy in a comforting way, and close to so many great spots. I barely needed Uber because I could walk everywhere, and the area didn’t feel overly touristy. The staff throughout the hotel were also genuinely friendly, which I really appreciated while traveling alone. A couple of things to know: cleaning is an add-on service, not automatically included. Most travelers assume it is, so clearer messaging or including it in the room rate would help. I also wasn’t sure if the room had a carbon monoxide detector; I saw a fire detector but wasn’t certain about the rest. The room itself had a bright, apartment-style feel with great natural light. There were a few small stains and some light wear on the furniture, if you’re looking for a super aesthetic, high-design hotel, this isn’t that. But if you want something spacious, homely, and comfortable to come back to after exploring the city, ULIV is a great choice. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it especially for solo travelers. Jessica was amazing, and I’m grateful for her help.

Room was spacious, modern and large though the kitchen was very poorly equipped. Wine glasses but no corkscrew? The pans and pot were too small to cook a proper meal. Check in was weird. I completed the online check in prior to arrival and arrived around 3:30pm, only to be told that the staff need a couple of minutes before I coud go up. I stood there for 5 minutes waiting and eventually asked what was going on, then they said I could go up. Elevator wait times were often 3-5 minutes which was quite frustrating. I booked an exclusive apartment which is a good size but it was on the 2nd floor, facing a very busy intersection which meant that traffic noise was disruptive. Another negative was receiving a message three days in a row that the rooftop terrace was closed for a private event, which meant that I didn't get to use it at all. Seems pretty poor to advertise this as an amenity and then make it unavailable for the majority of a four night stay.

There was no balcony view from room 101. That was disappointing. Extremely noisy at night due to the street traffic. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, comfortable and adequately maintained. The rooftop was amazing! Would stay again, but request a higher floor on the non street side of building.
