Excellent location, beautiful building, big, spacious rooms. Great view from the terrace restaurant/bar. My only complaint was that I booked a taxi service through the hotel to pick us up at the airport (I was traveling with an 85 year old) and never been to Mexico City. The concierge arranged for pick up. That was fine, but they charged us $49 dollars for a one way trip, when the regular fair to and from the airport is the most $15. I don't mind to pay a little more for a driver to wait for me, but not to pay more than 3 times the usual fair. I used Uber after that and had no issues. But I wouldn't have the hotel call a taxi. Every time they did for other guests friends of mine, the taxi was always 3 or 4 times higher than Uber.

Business Trip to Mexico City

I was traveling for business and originally stayed in Santa Fe Mexico. My trip unexpectedly extended a few days so I decided to switch hotels for no particular reason other than to experience another part of the city. The hotel was centrally located, very majestic, great historic atmosphere, and the room was very nice. The room location overlooked the main center of the city. The room and hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable. I will definitely stay at this hotel next month when I return next month.

We stayed here for 3 nights in March 2019. Being right at the Zocolo was fantastic. We walked the area morning, day and night. It is walking distance to the Palacio de Bellas Artes, and lots of great restaurants. Mexico City is such a beautiful city. We hope to return soon, and will definitely stay here again if it is available!
