Beautiful scenery, liked the water. The property was unkept. It did not look like the owners were expecting anyone. There was cobwebs all over the decks along with limbs, debris, and insects. The outdoor area was the same. It did not look like anyone had stayed there in many months. There was bugs inside as well. One in the bath. It just looked like it needed a proper cleaning and maintenance.

A lovely, small cabin with lots of comforts, nice touches, and efficiencies all around. Lovely aesthetic. The kitchen was great, the hot tub was excellent, the rec room was fun, the blueberries were gorgeous and tasty, and the surrounding nature was just perfect. We felt very taken care of by the hosts. Local Mentone Market, Arts Center, and Elevation Bistro were faves. Visited Brow Park for sunset and hiked at DeSoto Falls. A great, low-key getaway.

Taking out the trash...

Way over priced, I've stayed at 4 Star hotels THAT don't require the paying customer to take out the trash. Ridiculous ! Additionally the owner should put on a pair of white sox & walk across the floor! Yuck! We travel to Mentone often and would not stay there again.

Beautiful fall colors in private setting

We had an absolutely wonderful and much-needed respite. Some areas of the property needed a little more attention, such as the yard (several large piles of pet waste), kitchen (the refrigerator and some dishes in the cabinet were dirty), and bathroom (the shower curtain needed replacing due to mildew). These are all minor things compared to the beauty of the scenery! We loved the cute arts and crafts/game room. My husband and I played Pac-Man and foosball like we were kids again! The property is absolutely beautiful and private. I found a huge, beautiful lion's mane mushroom on one of my morning walks! We woke up to deer in the back and even saw owls in the trees at night! Would recommend and would stay again.
