Very Good

On arrival was put in a room out of the hotel. There was no option of drinks at the bar. The hotel inside needs a clean and smells. There was only an hand full of people staying there. The pool was covered over. The hotel needs a total refurb.
Come for the beautiful views, fantastic places to visit, but stay for the wonderful family and staff who run the hotel and enjoy the fun.

Very good staff
The Hotel which is a little tired is in a very nice area one thing that spoils it is the unfinished building work, which is just outside the breakfast room and spoils what could be a lovely view of the straits. That aside the hotel staff are very good and very helpful.

This is a great place to stay - gorgeous location, a little dated, but very good people. We totally enjoyed our two nights and great breakfasts. This place offers fantastic value for money.
The room was amazingly clean - like no hotel I've ever been in the cleaners here are amazing.
Great location, very quiet and picturesque.
The only tiny niggles and they are niggles not faults:
The wifi is next to useless unless you're in the main building.
The bed sheets have a plastic sheeting to them so every time you move they crinkle.
The staff are amazing but there's just not enough of them.
We were waiting for 10 mins to check in as the only person who could check us in wasn't around.
But these are silly things that do not detract from an amazing stay
Would definitely stay again!
I had a lovely stay at the Port Dinorwic. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. So nice to stay in a family run hotel and restaurant. The views from the breakfast room over the Menai are stunning.

The hotel was lovely and staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was amazing both the cooked breakfast to the restaurant dinner we had.
The beds were comfortable the room facilities great and we used the pool and sauna which were great after climbing Mount Snowdon in terrible weather. The only negative we had was that our bathroom had no heater and the electric shower did not produce a very hot water (although the bath taps did). Apart from that and the fact it was not very glamorous we couldn’t fault our stay or the service.
Fantasic views from the breakfast room and restaurant too. Definitely recommend.
We had a fantastic comfortable apartment overlooking the harbour. It was well located for everything we wanted to do, inc climbing Mt Snowden, the car park to which was 15 mins away
The apartment was comfortable, homely and very spacious.
The setting and views are great but the rooms are very tired and run down. I didn't use the pool or eat here (their menu had only 3 main courses) so can't comment on them. At £98.50/night for B&B its far too expensive!
Loved staying here. Nice big room, great location....quiet but close to Caernarfon. Very friendly staff. Great facilities. Would definitely stay there again.
This hotel is delightfully located just outside of Caernarfon with great access to most of the Gems of North Wales. Our comfortable family room had absolutely stunning views of the Menai strait. As does the breakfast room. The breakfast was freshly repaired and wonderfully cooked. The pool is small and shallow and good for kids. If I have one gripe its that the changing area for the pool is very small and the hotel prioritise swimming lessons ahead of guest use which can be disappointing when you have kids that love a casual dip.
Honestly cannot thank this hotel enough, stayed here for a little weekend away with my partner and it was heaven! The room (room 11)was beautiful, and clean and had everything you could possibly need. The staff we're so welcoming and accommodating, providing us with the room we had asked for. The pool and Sauna were so nice and clean and were a lovely addition to our trip. The local town was quiet but had an exceptional view. The hotel itself has by far the best view of anywhere due to its location. Would 100% stay here again and am already planning our next visit. Thank you so much to all the staff at Hotel Port Dinorwic and a special thank you to Mandy! Hope to see you all again very soon!x
Lovely place to stay. Fantastic views!! Very kind friendly helpful staff. Close to Caernarfon and the national slate museum, without being in a busy town.
We stayed in the family suite which was quite large and had a beautiful view of the bay. It had a separate small room with two twin beds and a large bed in a different room that was more open. Plus, there was a living area with windows that looked out to the water. The breakfast was good and one night we had a late dinner at the restaurant, which took a little while since there's only one cook, but it was actually very good. We weren't sure what to expect but we were all very happy with our food.
