Tranquility on The Swanneene

Ez to navigate to. The Spring"S are a short ride troy,peacock,convict spring was very nice plenty of space not at all busy. We did cook an guests had any thing u needed to cook with we did get take out from a place in Branford called 0ur place pizzeria ate left overs for 2days awesome . An that was just 1st day loved it can't wait togo back

Tranquil Retreat

Had a fantastic stay, kayaked up river each day and got into the vibe, floated back down and back to this beautiful place and recovered. The river is strong, definitely more than we were used to but worth the paddle to get up to Peacock Springs and on less strenuous day rt across the river to spring! The sturgeon’s jumping, and catfishing off the dock was awesome too. Highly recomend and will be back!

The Hosts Thought of EVERYTHING

This is the first VRBO we have all agreed that we need to come back to. Not one time did any of us say "oh, if they only had ... ". The house was very clean. The directions/instructions were spot on. The hosts were responsive and informative. It's a great location for what we wanted to do - kayaking and relaxing. The only thing we needed to supply was the groceries and the adventure. It was a 10 out of 10 mini vacay!

Great getaway

Amazing property. Perfect peaceful river retreat. House is very well stocked with everything you need. Very clean and well maintained property. The four kayaks give you ability to get out on the river and explore its beauty. Will definitely return.

Loved how secluded this property was and it being on the river! Very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Take note that this house is elevated so getting your suitcase up might be a bit of a hassle.

Our favorite family getaway and future memories

We come as often as we can and are never ready to leave. This place has become a such a tremendous part of our family memories going back and forth to the springs on the kayaks, playing cards and games inside or out, depending on the weather. Theyve provided everything you could want to enjoy an escape to a simpler, quieter way of life. Yhere is no ther place I could go and not look at my watch or the clock the entire time until we have to pack up. We know that no matter what mother nature provides, we are set with endless activities provided at this house because its ready for everything. If you want to get away from the rush of every day life and enjoy the country/river life with the comforts of AC and wifi, this place nails it every time. Its home away from home.if you forgot something, they probably have it stocked anyway. I cant say enough about how lucky we are to have found this place and thankful to the responsive and lovely family willing to share it with the rest of us.

Suwannee River Get away

The Suwannee River has become our favorite destination for vacation. Although it had rained and flooded the springs during our visit we had a wonderful time. We caught 3 big catfish! We played basketball, & darts. The porch is amazing for sitting and drinking coffee and watching the river. We will definitely be back. The owners were awesome with getting us to the house as the GPS took us down the wrong road. Everything was clean and I sure appreciated the creamers provided as I forgot to buy some to bring and it was a big help until I got to the store. Thank you for a wonderful stay and the use of your place!!

Total Relaxation

Cleanest most well supplied rental I’ve been in. Private location on the river sets the scene for a relaxing atmosphere. We had a great time and highly recommend the River House.

Incredible home on the river!

Everything you can think of has already been provided. Peaceful, clean, family bonding. We had the very best time! I highly recommend this property! The location is perfect- right across the river from crystal clear springs without a current. The home was so clean and comfortable. The owners were gracious and accommodating. Quickly respond and made the check-in/out a breeze.

Another hidden gem

We are in love with the Suwannee river and absolutely crave cabins that sit directly on the river. This one is really special, a true hidden gem. Clean, bright with a huge backyard and a private deck on the river. Will come back for sure.

Peaceful stay on the river

We loved our time at the river house. The location was on a peaceful and quiet country road, and we enjoyed listening to the sounds of nature. We brought our own kayaks and paddled both days. The current was strong, but the scenery was beautiful and there was practically no one else on the water. The house had a lot of nice touches including lots of firewood for the fire pit, games like basketball and horseshoes and everything you need to prepare meals. I'm very happy with the property and experience.

Birthday Adventure

Great property. The views are wonderful, and the house has everything we needed and more. We went for our son's birthday to fish and let him try out kayaking. He had a blast and wants to visit here again. We highly recommend this property for your next adventure!

We absolutely adore this property! It's incredibly peaceful, and there are two small springs located just across the river - it's like having your very own personal springs right in your backyard. These hidden gems are never busy, making it the perfect spot for a family getaway. You won't need to bring anything other than your clothes and food, as the owner has gone above and beyond to ensure that the house is well-equipped for everyone, including the kids. There are 4 kayaks on site, as well as a variety of life vests and paddles to choose from. Additionally, there's a fantastic fire pit and plenty of wood. The dock and kayak launch are both in excellent condition, making it easy to get out on the water. We can't wait to book again next year - and hopefully even sooner!

Amazing, relaxing getaway!

This property was perfect for our getaway! Right on the river, beautiful views, awesome springs right across the river. We were so relaxed that our three full days there felt like we'd been on vacation for a week. The first night there, two Great Horned Owls chased each other around the yard. Second night we were treated to about 30 Swallowtail Kites landing in the trees and then leaving in mass. Once in a lifetime sighting! We are avid birders so this made our trip very special! We loved everything about it! We'll definitely be back!

Heaven on the river!

This was our second summer staying at this vrbo and we loved it just as much as last summer! The house was very clean, thoughtfully appointed, full of things to entertain the whole family, and the view can’t be beat! We love that it’s right on the river and still close to several local springs and restaurants. We plan to continue the tradition again next summer and I can hardly wait!

Great hang out, relaxing home, hidden gems!

We were super happy with the house, views and amenities. From the pics on VRBO, I didn't think we would have a great river view and so I was surprised to find there was an amazing view. That would have been enough but when we took the kayaks over to Running Springs, we were even happier about our choice. So the theme here..a happy place! We tubed down the Ichetucknee, played in those nearby springs but my nephew couldn't wait to get back to the house so we could go back to the little "blue lagoon" right across the river. The first night we decided to stay in so we could enjoy our surroundings. My nephew wanted pancakes for dinner and a box of mix magically happened to be stocked in the kitchen. The second night we went to Bigwood BBQ in Live Oak for dinner and would highly recommend that 1/2 hour drive. We saw deer in the nearby woods as well which we don't see in coastal south Florida where we live. Overall, this was a clean well stocked, homey place to stay in north Florida. We could have stayed longer and hit more of the nearby springs but ya' have to leave something to come back to!

Peaceful Stay on the River

We really enjoyed our stay at The River House. The property is very nice and the house is very clean. We loved sitting on the dock. Very close to both Mayo and Branford. Weekend GetAway

This place is exactly what we were looking for. We loved the location, very quiet and relaxing. The house was extremely clean and well organized. Plenty of springs to visit just few miles from the house. If you want a peaceful and relaxing weekend this is the place to go.
