Too many negatives to overlook

This hotel is very convenient for me, I can bypass Torreón and this hotel is right on the highway. It’s very easy to get to. That is why I have stayed here several times, but I can’t overlook the negatives. There is no place to eat close by. They do serve breakfast but it is not free. When I got to my room there were no hand towels. That was easy to take care of. However, when I got in the shower I discovered that there was no soap. Ok, I will just use the shampoo, but there was no shampoo either. The closet has no hangers so if you stay here, pack your own clothes hangers. The room is very plain and has no microwave or coffee maker. The door has no peep hole and no chain or any other security device. The building is in good condition and there is a nice patio area.

No hot water for our morning shower. Thought we would try the restaurant out for dinner, we got our bill and he charged us 280 pesos per glass of wine, which is approximately 3 times what we paid anywhere else during our trip.

Hotel Matamoros es el mejor de todos

This is one of the most lovely hotels in Mexico i’ve had the privilege to stay at. The hotel is beautiful and quiet. This was our second year staying here and i pray it continues to prosper. Don Cuco the security guy is so awesome and helpful and the housekeepers are so respectful and genuine. The kitchen staff was also great to us. It’s safe here. It’s clean and fresh and the little swimming area is just so relaxing and do pretty, you forget your in the desert or surrounded by dirt! I recommend this hotel.
