I am disappointed with the state of the room. It was not what I was expecting. The images did not match what was shown. * Smelt horrible upon entry and lingered even after the aircon was switched on to try and air * The floor was sticky, and when I walked on it with bare feet, I spent a good while trying to wash the dirt off my feet * Overhead bed light buzzed continuously * Wires hanging out from the ceiling * The bed felt like it was just springs and no padding * No extra pillows or blankets * Appliances worked, but there were only cups, no cutlery to eat with Also, using a pressure washer at 8:30 am. I know it was a Tuesday morning, but still, check-out was not expected until 10 am. Will not be returning

What national park mold on curtains and in shower did not get asked if i needed anything in 3 days couldn't park outside of the room they had a room full of teenagers who completely out of control so there was no relaxing after travelling

We loved Arkana. We were made to feel like one of the family and staff were super friendly and able to assist with anything. Rooms were clean and we had everything we needed. Bathrooms were freshly grouted and toilets spotless clean. For the price and proposition, I wouldnt hesitate staying again or recommending. The fact that onsite staff are always there added that extra safety and friendliness for me.

The motel is run down, not looked after, looks like squatters have moved in. The pool area had a mattress and bed frame just thrown there. The laundry was dirty with bags and clothes left there. Cats trying to run in when you open the room door. It was so unclean, the room hadn’t been vacuumed or even looked like it had been cleaned for weeks. The water from having a shower couldn’t drain away fast enough and started rising. The photos that are provided show a nice, clean place, obviously when the place was well looked after. They don’t show you what it actually looks like. Run down and dirty, it was disgusting. I will never stay here again.

We had a nice stay. The place was very very clean. They are making alot of improvements by refurbing which is excellent to see. Check in is simple and efficient. Honestly can't understand some of the reviews on here - Paying $140 a night and expecting the a 5 star hotel. The beds are fine, sheets are freshly laundered, free tea and coffee and biscuits

It would have been nice if, instead of the three e-mails advising of the contactless reception, one of those emails had mentioned the fact that it appeared as if the room was undergoing re-furbishment. No casual table, dodgy carpet laid, fridge up on a cupboard, for starters. The see through curtains were a feature, allowing the light outside the windows to light up the room. I did shut the bathroom windows to prevent bugs coming in, but re-opened them to prevent mould, as suggested on a notice in the bathroom. Sorry, but my rating can't be a high one.

Paid good money for a room that is falling apart and in need of repairs and old. Toilet not secured to floor. Could see through curtains as well as alot of yelling outside by a group of men late hours of the night. Teenagers fighting n swearing at each other. Won't be staying there again and differently not worth $150 odd dollars for a night

We liked the having to not see reception and have codes sent via text to enter the room etc. The beds were comfy. Sheets could have fit the queen bed better. There was a smell in the bathroom that was a mixture of musty and mouldy and the toilet wasn’t sealed to the floor. It was a bit rocky. Overall good stay for a quick stay. Staff were fantastic when I did get to speak to them. I think there may be a renovation going on

got yelled at for apparently speeding over the 5km/hr limit. threatened that my windscreen would be smashed. definitely was not going fast as foot was on the brake. the room stunk like there was a combination of cigarettes, mould and dust with cleaning products to mask.

It was run down and the bathroom wasn’t clean with hairs on the sink, mould on shower grouting and unclean bench in bathroom. The bed was comfortable and clean though.
