The house itself was nice and had everything we needed, and the beds were fantastic. The host was very responsive and helpful! Unfortunately, the cleaning staff needs to be replaced. When we arrived, we were hit with a strong smell of marijuana, as if someone had just finished smoking in the house shortly before we arrived. We almost contacted VRBO to relocate, but after speaking with the host and running the attic fan for a while, the smell mostly cleared—though it lingered overnight and gave us headaches.The bathrooms were also not properly cleaned. We had to scrub overspray from the underside of the toilet seat—something no guest should have to deal with. One of the wives refused to use it after seeing the condition, and I don’t blame her. Thankfully, a toilet brush was provided.We also found expired food in the refrigerator and trash stuffed in between pillows on the couch. Fortunately, the bedding appeared to be fresh and clean. None of this reflects on the host personally; it’s entirely an issue with the cleaning staff. With a new cleaning crew, this would be a great place for a weekend stay.
