Nice riad but some important drawbacks
As all riads, Shaloma is run by 4 extremely nice people (2 male in charge of guests and service and 2 female in charge of cooking and cleaning). They will do as much as they can to help and are quite nice. The food (for those that ask them to dinne at the riad) is excellent, however breakfast was boring as it is literally the same everyday and has not nice details like fake orange juice (you are in Morocco where a kilo of oranges is a few cents ... Do real one!). The riad is nice (like many riads in Marrakesh) with large rooms and functional bathrooms. It is situated a 10-15 min walk from the medina and after walking inside a laberithm of small peatonal roads. Some people may feel unease at first but there is nothing to worry about (do not use google to locate the place as it got it wrong, call the riad and have them pick you up). There is place to park 2 min from the riad so it is a good option for those with cars travelling around. The problems with the riad are the excessive noise on the rooms with external Windows. I struggle to find the utility of those small windows other that sucking the noise into the room! Also you will find things on the bathroom missing such as hairdryer or bathrobes that you have to request. Finally, our bed was rock hard. I have never felt such a pain in my back when sleeping, and I do own what I consider is a hard matress.
