I absolutely love the Ibn Batuda hotel. It is my go to hotel when I’m in Marrakesh for long or short stays. The staff is amazing and friendly. The food is always good and I feel at home when I’m there. I highly recommend it to travelers all over the world.

Firstly the hotel location and pool/lounge were great. However the rooms were dirty and not clean. On the bed sheets we found long hair on our pillow and had stains on our bedsheets. The hotel staff was mixed, some were nice, some weren’t, some didn’t bother with their job and watch YouTube videos all day. One lady was very difficult at reception. I complained about the iron not working and she made it a big deal. Despite her ordering a new iron her attitude was great when other customers were around, however her attitude was different when I went to speak to her alone. Clearly demonstrates her willingness and attitude was very unpredictable. The 2 gentlemen at reception also said check in was 3 pm when it clearly said 2pm on the booking but we didn’t check in until 3:30pm. A few guys were very nice such as the ones at the top of the pool and in the restaurant. The gentleman at the front door was very nice and welcoming. The other staff at the reception desk should learn from their younger peers. The older man who looked after our bags was very nice and friendly. The cleaning team was also good. Only the reception desk people were different and had bad attitude.

The staff was wonderful. We actually stayed in three different rooms at different times—standard, deluxe and suite. I would avoid the standard room. It was small and not as clean as the others

Good location but disappointed.
I booked this hotel based on previous reviews, however, i wasn't entirely happy with my stay. Before arriving in the country i tried to call, email via hotel.com and even emailed the hotel directly but had no answer or reply at all. There were things i wanted to confirm and wanted to arrange a transfer from the airport to the hotel but they didnt even bother to respond so we had to make our own way once we landed. When arriving at the hotel i mentioned this, however, the man behind reception had no interest at all and didnt even offer an apology. Before booking the hotel the website says check in is at 2pm, i managed to get my room at 2.45pm. The room itself was clean although the bathroom light was very dim and the shower leaks onto the floor. There was a kettle in the room, however, no milk/milk sachets are provided. There was a tv in the room but only had limited channels - 5 worked max. The best thing about the hotel is the location - its close to pretty much everything. Also, I'd like to praise the breakfast staff who were very polite and attentive to our needs. The breakfast options are also good.
