If you're looking for peace an tranquility, you'll find it here. Relaxing place, decent food at affordable price, good estaff. The ride to get to the place is in itself worth the price. The beach wasn't good to swim because the waves are mor like for surfing, and there was a lot of debris, but it has to do with the season. They have a nice swimming pool and an excellent view. We spent only one they, but will be back for a little longer. Good place to stay.

The view, pool, rooms and the food were awesome. I just recommend to bring your repellent because there's a lot of mosquitos.

Nice place, I'd stay again.
Pretty great beach for fun waves without a lot of work or hassle. Food was fantastic, great menu with reasonable prices. Pitcher of water with every meal was a huge bonus. The two waiters were super friendly and accommodating, management take note they are a huge part of your customer satisfaction. Local water service failed daily, which in this price range is a bit of a drag. TV and AC worked all the time. Nobody around at check out time, took all my stuff outside and left key in the door and went for a surf. They considered briefly that I should maybe pay late checkout, but I was successful in my opposition. There did not appear to be any guests beating down the door waiting for my room. I almost deducted a star for needing a bucket to flush the toilet and not being able to shower when I chose, plus I was miffed at the suggestion I should maybe pay extra. But the food was so good, the waiters so genuinely friendly, and I had enough fun to still rate it excellent.

Surfer destination
A rainy day check in on a Friday afternoon... disinterested clerk/manager ..few other guests and limited menu available at what the locals consider one of the best restaurants in the area. Lovely facility at a beautiful location.

Not fancy- Great location, quiet. Rustic. Clean.
Lovely location right on the ocean with a small but lovely pool area. Seems to be family run and they clearly want to keep up the place as there is always someone raking, cleaning the pool etc. The beach is just a few steps down but is black sand and rocky. The view is just stunning. We enjoyed watching the sunset from covered area overlooking the ocean and pool that has lots of tables, chairs and a bar area with a great, relaxing atmosphere. Our room was basic (rustic) but comfortable and clean. The A/C never got the room really cool and we lost water a few times. But overall, the hotel is a good choice for the area--just don't expect great service or luxury. The food was very good, especially dinner and the sweet woman serving dinner was very attentive, but otherwise the staff were often nowhere to be found. At breakfast both mornings we waited over 30 minutes for someone to appear and take our order (and there were only 2 other couples). The 1 person serving was inattentive, unmotivated, seemed to lack even basic hospitality training and had absolutely no English skills (even pointing at the menu items didn't work). One morning she did not bring us the lovely bowl of fruit that comes with breakfast and we couldn't find her to ask her anyway, so eventually we just gave up. I think everyone here means well but they need to step their service a little to improve their ratings. Note this place is CASH ONLY so be prepared. (There is an ATM in the small town nearby if yo

No wifi at all, which is important in this area
No wifi which is essential if you want to book trips like snorkling, diving, day trips etc. So that really effected our trip. The place its self is beautiful and the Isabella the young lady who ran the place was amazing and very helpful, she was the only one who spoke English. Also they do not take credit cards so be prepared...NO place takes credit card over there except maybe in Panama city. The hotel is right on the beach. Just make sure you do not get room 7 as there is no hot water in the shower and NO water pressure, I found my self taking my showers down at their amazing pool. My friend took her shower in another room and it was better. So nice place, no Wi-Fi, credit cards, our English. Except Isabella. Bring bug spray for at night so you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets from your room, pool, our dinning area. Oh yes, when the local SIM cards didn't work here in phones so be prepared. Hotel has potential and Isabella goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, however owner needs to fork out some cash to make it a more comfortable stay. Surf has potential a bit slow but still worked for short boarding, had great shape...over flat reef do not dangerous.
