Fabulous vacation home in Marathon! Check in was easy, the host was extremely responsive, house was clean with a well stocked kitchen. A short walk to the beach with a clean pool and a great dock for fishing (even has a green light). We would stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Slam! The location was amazing- we were able to walk to the beach daily. The elevator was super helpful for groceries and luggage! We loved the view from the decks and the pool (we paid extra to have the pool heated which was well worth it!) We were a very short drive from Publix, Winn Dixie, and the giant surf store (definitely a must-see). Sombrero Beach was lovely! We only had 6 people staying at Grand Slam, but we were part of a group of 26 and everyone else’s houses were within a 2 minute walk from Grand Slam so it was very accessible! We didn’t use the kitchen much (we mostly cooked at the other houses) but it was beautiful and well-stocked! We would definitely stay here again and I highly reccomend this house! The host, Julie, was very easy to communicate with- and very helpful with answering all my questions quickly! :)

This vacation rental was absolutely amazing! It was the perfect place for our family to spend Christmas in Marathon, Florida. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had great amenities that made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Everything we needed was provided, which made relaxing and spending quality time together effortless.The host was wonderful—very responsive and thoughtful—and offered great local suggestions that truly enhanced our experience, from places to eat to things to do in the area. This home exceeded our expectations, and we are so grateful for the beautiful holiday memories we made here. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic, family-friendly vacation spot.

Spectacular Family Gathering

This was such a lovely home to visit. The three floors with 5 spacious bedrooms gave everyone their own space, and there was plenty of spots to gather for meals and pool time. The view of the canal at sunset was beautiful. The location was great; the market is down the road, you can walk or bike to the beach, and there are many excellent restaurants just a couple of miles away. Our hostess was gracious and always available. My elderly father used the elevator and enjoyed the suite on the first floor. It was clean and beautifully decorated. I would stay here again.,

Fantastic Family getaway

This was the perfect property for our big family of adults. Everyone had space and room to get away as well as plenty of gathering areas. Easy walk to the beach, dock space for jumping on kayaks and the green underwater light allows for some really cool evening fish viewing. The house itself is very clean, well appointed and decorated nicely - appliances work well and plenty of servingware for a group - the elevator was a fun lifesaver when it came to getting bags and groceries upstairs- owner was very responsive to all of our questions - highly recommend!

Fantastic location for family trip!

We loved our time in Marathon at Julie and Scott's place. The location is ideal - near Sombrero Beach - and Marathon is my favorite place to stay in the Keys because of it's central location. It's a short walk to Sombero beach from the property and the dock off the back of the property provided an opportunity for a pontoon rental and a chance to see (literally) over a dozen manatees - including babies. The home worked perfectly for my family (2 adults, 2 kids) and my BIL's family (2 adults, 2 kids) - there was more than enough room for us all to stay comfortably. The pool was a perfect place to cool off after a hot day at the beach or walking around Key West (only about an hour drive). I would rent here again in a heartbeat (and we've already talked about coming back). Quick note: We had some concerns with TS Debby approaching at the same time as our arrival and Julie was fantastic with communication and help. Also, we had a few small technical issues at the house during our stay which were swiftly addressed - and I mean swiftly - handyman/tech came out the next day and the issue was fixed. Just a great all-around experience! Thank you Julie & Scott!

Most Excellent Stay Ever!!!!

This was the MOST communicative & responsive hosts, the most beautiful & best-stocked rental home we’ve ever stayed in! 6 adults & 4 teenage boys who lived on the dock the whole time! Location was perfection! Made for a glorious lobster mini season. Gorgeous kitchen with anything you could ever need. Beautiful views. Plenty of space. Chilled pool was amazing after long boat day. Gorgeous sunset views. Just can’t say enough about it all. We hope to be back soon!

AMAZING

Everything about our stay was AMAZING! Julie was incredible from the initial booking to checking out. She was very helpful and informative of local happenings for July 4th. We have stayed in many houses in Marathon and this by far was the best! The location was perfect! We could walk to the beach, fish off the dock and meander through the waterways to get to the ocean and gulf! My only complaint is we should have stayed longer!

Beautiful Home in Walking Distance to Sombrero Beach!

Our group was five couples and we each had our own room and bathroom. The kitchen, dining and living area, the large porch on the second floor, and the pool accommodated us well. The beach was a 9-10 minute walk.

Great experience

This was our third time staying on Sombrero Beach Road and the best experience yet. The last two times we stayed at a VRBO managed by a company. This house, managed by Julie, was much cleaner and better stocked with amenities. The location was great! And although we didn’t have any issues that needed immediate attention, I had Julie’s cell phone number so I could have contacted her directly if we needed anything. Overall great experience and hope to come back again soon!

Good Family Rental

Location was great - short walk to beach close to Publix and activities especially when it was rainy and only in the 60s. Plenty of room for 7 to stay with a spare bedroom. Wished the 1st floor bedroom had a regular door instead of a louver door - we could hear voices of those who stayed up later.

Exceptional Property

For a family vacation with 7 adults and 2 children, this property was perfect. We had plenty of room for everyone. The home is beautifully decorated, was well stocked, and very clean. With the heat, the pool was a welcome break. The kids enjoyed the kayaks. This home is close to the beach, shopping, grocery stores, and plenty of restaurants. What a memorable vacation.

Great Place To Stay

We are a family of 10, all adults, five couples. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the home, pool, local area, and beach. The house was spotless and well-equipped. The downstairs bedroom needed more places to hang and unpack our stuff; we made due. Adding hooks to the walls and the back of the door all over the house would help. The owner let us know that a sliding glass shower door broke, and a new one was on order. The temporary curtain rod fell several times, but no big deal. The HVAC in the upper floors kicked off; the owner had someone out the same day to attend to it. Maybe adding TVs to all the Bedrooms, in case folks are used to having one, would be nice. We bought several beach chairs, umbrellas, and floats and left them for the next guest. It may be time to replace them, as several were broken. We found the coolers the day before we checked out under the sink downstairs. This was a 4.5-star stay, but it would take very little to get it to a solid 5-star accommodation. Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful home.

Great Family Vacation!

We just stayed the week of Christmas and it was perfect! The owner was very responsive and helpful with booking different reservations and telling us fun things to do with the kids. The location is great. It’s less than a half a mile to sombrero beach and there is a nice park there and tons of parking if you don’t want to walk. There are a handful of beach chairs provided. It was a little over a mile to Publix and sandal factory. My brothers rented a boat and the dock was perfect for that. We would definitely stay again!

Nicest rental in the Keys

We had an amazing TG week at this property. Beautifully kept and decorated property with a boat dock and a half mile walk to a white sand beach. House feels brand new. Top quality and well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds and easily fitted our two families of four adults and six kids/ teens. I would have no hesitation in recommending and hope to return again. Communication with Julie was helpful prompt, friendly and professional. I live in Miami and often come to the keys and this is the nicest property we have stayed at. No need to look any further !
