The ground-floor apartment is approximately 40 m² in size and has been rated 4 stars by the DTV (German Tourism Association). Thanks to its excellent amenities, it offers a comfortable stay for 2 people — whether for a short visit or a longer holiday. The non-smoking apartment features underfloor heating.

The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, hairdryer, hand and bath towels, soap, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies. From the open-plan kitchen and living area, you can access the terrace, which is furnished with comfortable garden furniture and a sun umbrella for hot summer days.

The fitted kitchen is well equipped with an oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, and fully automatic coffee machine. There is also plenty of tableware and high-quality pots in various sizes.

Additional amenities include satellite TV with DVD player, a radio with CD player, games, and detailed information materials.

A double bed (180 × 200 cm) with high-quality mattresses, adjustable slatted frames, and cotton bed linen ensures a restful sleep.

Wi-Fi internet access is available free of charge.

Parking is available directly at the house, along with storage space for bicycles.

A crib and high chair are available upon request. Beds are made upon arrival, and dish, hand, and bath towels are provided.

Our house is located on the outskirts of the small village of Wittersheim in the municipality of Mandelbachtal. The beautiful landscape invites you to take walks, and numerous hiking and cycling trails are nearby. The Saarland Therme spa is just a few kilometers away (15 km). Other easily accessible attractions include the European Cultural Park Bliesbruck-Reinheim (12 km), the open-air stage in Gräfinthal (11 km), the UNESCO World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte (33 km), the baroque town of Blieskastel (11 km), the Zweibrücken rose garden (23 km), the Jägersburg lake with climbing park (34 km), and many other interesting destinations. The Saarschleife is 70 km away.

This property is perfect. Exactly like it is pictured on the site. Katrin is a wonderful hostess. All appliance you have at home . Stove top, oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Sparkling clean. A bakery truck comes to the village daily selling brochen, bread, coffee cakes, croissant, etc. the bakery man speaks German and English and is very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Wir waren 2 Wochen in der Ferienwohnung.Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt!Wir kannten das Saarland nicht.Jetzt sind wir begeistert.Es gibt viel zu entdecken.Geschichtliches und Natur.Die Wanderwege sind für verschiedenste Ansprüche schnell zu erreichen.Man kann gleich von der Ferienwohnung aus starten.Es gibt eine Saalandkarte.Damit kann mann kostenlos Bus fahren.Gute Anschlüsse! Besser als in Berlin Auch kann diese Karte für viele Museen genutzt werden.Wir waren im Herbst dort.Tolle Farben,Nüsse und Maronen.Lise und Heike

Einzig das Sofa als „bequeme“ Sitzgelegenheit gibt Anlass zu „meckern“ . Ansonsten alles Top von hier aus kann man vieles zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erkunden. Das Domizil ist absolut ruhig gelegen und die Wanderwege beginnen sozusagen direkt an der Wohnung aber auch Saarbrücken, Metz oder Homburg sind nicht weit. Wer Geschichte mag ist hier genauso gut aufgehoben wie Sportliebhaber und Entdecker. Sehr zu empfehlen

Wir durften für 5 Tage als Feriengäste mit unserer kleinen Hündin , in der Ferienwohnung von Frau Weiland verbringen.Zum einen hatten wir uns aus Interesse am Mandelbachtal , dem Biosphären Reservat Bliesgau , mit seiner wunderschönen Landschaft , der Lage zu Frankreich, schon vor-entschieden - aber , und was für uns von entscheidender Bedeutung war , die Beschreibungen der Räumlichkeiten nebst Bildern hatten uns neugierig gemacht.Letztendlich die Rezensionen der Feriengäste , die ihren Aufenthalt bei Fr. Weiland beschrieben hatten , haben uns die Entscheidung für diese Örtlichkeit leicht gemacht und wir müssen sagen – wir wurden nicht enttäuscht.Die liebevolle Restauration des alten Bauernhauses , die Ausstattung der Wohnung und das sehr freundliche Wesen von Frau Weiland können wir nur bestätigen – die Landschaft , ach - dieses Saarland hat es uns angetan .Und so können , nein - müssen wir diese Ferienwohnung wärmstens empfehlen. Die Lage des Ortes Wittersheim zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten des kleinen aber feinen Saarlandes, wie Saarschleife , Saarpolygon , Römer und Keltenmusseum in Reinheim ,St. Wendel , Kloster Tholey , Frankreich ( Saargemünd ) , all das, liegt in angenehmen Umkreis und somit ist Wittersheim als Ausgangsort bestens gelegen.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Örtlichkeit nebst angenehmen Art von Frau Weiland nur empfehlen – Top !!

Sehr ruhige und abgelegene Lage. Für Autotouristen ideal.

Sehr angenehme, geräumige und voll ausgestattete Ferienwohnung. 2 Fahrräder können im Vorraum abgestellt werden. Fahrradfahren durch die sehr steilen Berge für sehr geübte Fahrer/EBike geeignet.

Die Ferienwohnung ist gemütlich eingerichtet, sehr sauber, es fehlt an nichts. Sehr unkomplizierte und freundliche Vermieter. Ruhige Lage, mit dem Auto in Kürze gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten erreichbar. Von der Wohnung aus, sind Wanderungen und Spaziergänge im schönen Bliesgau möglich. Wer die Ruhe und die Natur sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

New Year's '23/'24

+ Very well isolated appartement, so our anxious dog wasn't really aware of the firework at midnight. Nice little kitchen with almost everything you need and a spacious bathroom. Nice hosts, and the area is great for long and short walks. You get a towel for dirty doggy paws and free poopbags. - A small coffeetable would be handy and maybe a few more cozy lights as the ceiling spots are very bright.

Rundum perfekte Wohnung.

Schöner Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Biosphärenreservat

Frau Weiland hat an Alles gedacht, was für einen reibungslosen Verlauf des Aufenthalts erforderlich ist. Vielen Dank auf diesem Wege für die Begrüßungsfüllung des Kaffeeautomaten. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und wohl noch unter dem Eindruck der abgelaufenen Coronaregeln etwas steril. Aber auch wenn wir uns etwas mehr Gemütlichkeit gewünscht hätten, haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die ruhige Lage und die Nähe zu den Wanderwegen in die schöne Landschaft sehr genossen.

Schönes Wanderwochenende

Wir haben zwei erholsame Tage in dieser sehr gut ausgestatteten, sauberen und ruhig gelegenen Wohnung verbracht. Wir wurden sehr nett begrüßt. Egal, ob Wandern, ein Stadtbummel in Saarbrücken oder ein Kurztrip nach Frankreich, alles ist einem überschaubaren zeitlichen Rahmen möglich.

Sehr saubere modernisierte Wohnung. Komfortabel mit gutem Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Die Wohnung ist sehr ländich gelegen. Mit dem Auto sind aber Saarbrücken, St.Ingbert oder Frankreich in weniger als 30 min zu erreichen.

Schöne Zeit im Saarland

Ich bin von der Gastgeberin freundlich empfangen worden. Wenn man mobil ist, gelangt man in kurzer Zeit Saarbrücken oder auch andere Orte. Ein Besuch in der Saarland Therme ist zu empfehlen. Schwimmer können in Blieskastel ein paar Runden drehen. Der Baumwipfelpfad an der Saarschleife macht auch ohne Sonnenschein Spaß. Die Unterkunft bietet alles was man benötigt um sich fast wie zu Hause zu fühlen und befindet sich in ruhiger Lage. Ich würde sofort wieder dort wohnen.

Gutes Preis- Leitungsverhältnis

Die Fewo liegt ausgesprochen günstig, mitten im schönsten Wandergebiet. Sie ist in einem perfekten, sauberen Gesamt- zustand und sehr zweckmäßig und ruhig. Der Zugang mit Parkplatz direkt neben dem Gebäude ist ausgesprochen praktisch. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Für Naturfreunde

Dis Wohnung ist für Urlaub zu zweit hervorragend geeignet und zu empfehlen. Für Wanderungen und Radtouren gut gelegen. Leider gab es im ganzen Umfeld keine Fahrhräder zu entleihen. Zu empfehlen: BEsuch der Völklinger Hütter; Kirkeler Felsenpfad
