Give a wide berth

I did not stay I went home. On arrival property had scaffolding around it, there was a hand written note with mobile number for check-in, alarm bells rang. The person who answered the door was bare foot in sliders. I was shown 2 rooms in what seemed a desserted property. The person had the door codes on his phone. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. I am a 70 year old female. I got in my car and fled.

THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM. DO NOT BOOK. A pice of paper on the door with a mobile number to ring for check in that isn’t a real number. Terrible manners when you call OYO company for answers, they tell you it’s your fault

Don't go

Zero stars across the board, only the sheets were clean in our room, everything else was covered in a layer of dust and old stains. Light fixture was covered in cobwebs. The bathroom also had not been cleaned as hair and general dust was gathered all over. I had to request more toilet paper, and instead of replacing it themself, staff indicated where to find it in a living room that is a private lodging for said staff? So I had to do that at 3am, plus I requested a hairdryer and after being told via text that this had been sorted, I asked repeatedly for it to the staff member directly to finally have him saying the hairdryer was in another room, so he couldn't help me with that. The door pad to our room had low batteries and I was stuck outside of my room at 3am for about 10 minutes with several attempts to enter. After contacting the member of staff about it, he came and claimed the charge will last for another 2-3 weeks. Surely having to try 6+ times to enter because of low batteries is not considered fully charged. I requested a refund and they refused, citing company policy and not even acknowledging the uncleanliness. Do not book and waste your money.

Could be worse I guess😅

Location is in a middle of a council estate.. when I arrived there was a torn piece of paper stuck to the door saying ring Ahmed for check in. Which I did and he seemed a nice guy the door handles are cool electronic, for the main and room doors but the code for the room is excessively long and hard to remember so don’t leave your phone in the room when you go bathroom or you may be locked out, speaking of the bathroom it is very nice, instagram worthy but if you look carefully there’s lots of half finished things and what’s even worse is the cleanliness it’s absolutely disgusting some of the things I found in my room I opened a draw and there was open used packets of condoms and balloons from people using canisters they must change the bedding and that’s it! I think if you left something in a draw and came back a month later it would still be there. Overall for £43 you can’t complain cause you get a clean very comfortable bed and a decent bathroom which is all you can ask for. Oh yeah also they say you get a flat screen tv in your room which is a lie you only get a picture of the ocean😂

On arrival the outside looked awfull rundown a scrap piece of paper stuck to the door for check in saying ring this number no light to see had to use phone torch, a person came to the door with no shoes and socks on and wanted to see our checkin details b4 we could enter. Showed us to room had 2 single beds not double as we asked for, smelt of weed and cigarette smoke, not clean, bed uncomfortable, the only thing that was clean was the bedding,shared bathroom and toilet, really poor standard needs a deep clean and redecorating

Worst place

Had problems finding the place, once I did find it it wasn't very welcoming. Would not let me in until he had seen receipt. Once shown the room had to go through the living room were several family members and children were playing game's on TV. The room had no facilities and was not shown the bathroom or told about it.

I was booked through only one place and then he transferred me from that area to the different which was we are not happy and the place was very dirty and disgusting. The customer service was not worth it.

Outside the property stunk of dead rodents I guess it was due to the massive skip filled with waste that was overfilled and all over the pavement. The house had a funny smell to it which automatically made us feel uneasy… The room was a standard double room, duvet was dirty and pillows were paper thin and was only given one each. Only given one towel between the two of us. The walls were covered in muck and holes. It’s a good thing we had the evening planned in the city which was only a 15 min drive. We booked last minute hence why he opted for this stay, however we will not be returning.

Property had a big skip outside next to front door. Room was grubby, shared bathroom with 2 other rooms. No TV. Room had a kettle but no cups or tea/ coffee. For the money I paid, I expected better. Will definitely not stay there again

No tv in room as stated when we booked hidden charges as we asked to check in an hour earlier and they charged me £10 extra to do this which I wasn’t happy with room was ok for the price we paid wouldn’t say exactly clean but clean enough for one night stay there we’re jobs being done on the hotel but half done jobs all around the hotel it wasn’t a bad place for what I paid but could of been a whole lot better
No tv instead we had this picture to look at all night !

Very dirty, one of the beds didn’t even have a duvet cover on it. Empty shampoo. Communications with property were poor, also charged me £30 for late check in. Not even sure if that is legal

Recommendation

The room was clean however the bathroom was shared and for the two days there was no tissue in the toilet. No one to assist to restore another one My recommendation would be to keep toilet tissue in the rooms plus in the toilet so when it runs out one can utilise the one in the room
