Not easy to find the front entrance, came across another guest having the same problems as we trekked across main roads and wasteland. The room was the smallest room we have ever stayed in, my husband could touch the opposite walls with his hands and feet when lying across the bed. One side of the bed was against the wall, neither side had a bedside table. There was much of a price difference between this and the Clayton, Tribe or Radisson that are all close by. We will never stay at an Ibis again, the others are much better quality for a similar price.

The hotel is a reasonably easy walk from the train station, although I had no luggage so that helped. The worst part was checking in: the poor girl dealing with me valiantly tried to be polite while her colleague behind the desk rudely and annoyingly interrupted the whole time by moaning about how tired she was, to the extent that I couldn't hear what was being said to me. The room was very compact, but that's what you expect from a budget stay.

Not necessarily the hotels fault, but the walls are really thin and we were woken up late at night by some guests next door who decided to play some singing game for 20 minutes until eventually I got up and knocked on their door and they stopped. We’ve stayed here a few times now but it seems like some of the clientele they attract are already starting their holiday early, getting drunk and going wild when you’ve got an early flight the next day. Having visited the holiday inn next door for dinner, I would say that seemed a lot calmer and probably the worth extra cost next time.

Room was very cold as thermostat never worked and apparently there was no maintenance person on site and hotel was full so we couldn’t change room. TV and kettle also never worked. It’s a shame as we have stayed at this hotel before with no issues. Staff were friendly and apologetic.
