Think carefully before booking this apartment
The description of the apartment and location is incomplete. In particular, the description does not say the apartment is towards the top of a steep hill, with the access road being narrow whilst still permitting two-way traffic. I specifically asked if the apartment had car parking and was told there are "areas around to park your car freely". This is not entirely accurate as several of the parking bays at the apartment are owned or rented by residents. Not having been made aware of this by Malaga Sunset Apartments (MSA) I inadvertently parked in a residents bay for the first two days before an angry notice was placed on the windscreen of my car drawing my attention to the issue. The alternative parking area suggested by MSA in Torre San Telmo was frequently full, with more cars sometime parked on the hill leading to the apartment.
In terms of the apartment itself; the shutters leading to the balcony did not lock causing a potential security issue; the sliding doors opening to the balcony blocked access to the shutters; the toilet pan located in the shower room was dirty; the shower cabinet had mold and damp; the air-conditioning unit was faulty and worked only once at 4.30 AM when it suddenly (though briefly) started to function; although I asked for help with this the guidance given by MSA suggested use of a particular switch which I could not locate in the apartment; there was no table or chairs in the apartment as the photos suggested, the only tables and chairs available were on the small balcony.
The apartment, its location and attitude of MSA spoilt what would have been a visit to a very attractive and pleasant area.
I have submitted a formal complaint to Vrbo.
