The historic building was originally one if the city’s main livery stables circa 1886. It has been used for several businesses in the past but has recently been converted into apartments. New furnishings, bathrooms and kitchen will be appreciated yet the historic charm is blended within.
This fun river town will remind you of years gone by. Come see why Ladie’s Home Journal awarded Madison “ prettiest small town in the midwest”. Chicago Tribune says it’s “the best preserved midwest town”.
The space
This apartment is not a shared space but is for your exclusive use while staying. There is an adjacent separate area in the entrance foyer with the second restroom and laundry area that you may also use and it may be occasionally used by my daughter or me if working in garage area but it is separate from the apartment (just outside French doors). I will advise you if we need to come into that area (although it is very seldom)
. Entire space is Non-Smoking.
Other things to note
This historic building originally was the city stable in circa 1886. It’s now a blend of barnwood contemporary and vintage charm
New renovations and furnishings will leave you wanting to stay longer.
