Magical Location for a Lucca Holiday

We stayed here in late November and the city was alive with Christmas lights. The windows looked down Via Fillungo and Santa Croce and made our stay a Christmas wonderland. The team at Lucca Apartments and Villas are the best, welcoming and friendly. We’ll definitely be back again and again.

One of the nicest rentals that we have ever stayed in. Kitchen was extremely well appointed with all the necessities. Two full baths with walk-in showers…outstanding. We really loved this centrally located apartment!

Wonderful apartment, good facilities especially the air conditioning, shower good, location very good on the junction of both main streets of Lucca. Everything within easy walking distance.

Highly Recommend!

We had a lovely stay in Casa Betta in Lucca. The apartment is spacious and stylishly furnished - looks just like the pictures. The location is also very central and all the main sights are easily walkable. Communication and check-in was very straightforward. We would definitely recommend.

Perfect Place

We have stayed in Lucca five different times for lengthy stays. This apartment was absolutely the best experience ever. The location the location and decor were location and decor were fabulous and the view from the window looking down on Via Fillungo was absolutely gorgeous. The owners and staff were helpful and efficient and took care of everything for us. We would recommend this place to anyone and read it and give it an overall rating of 5+.

PERFECT CASA UGOLINO

The apartment is absolutely perfect, it’s central & has an amazing view looking straight down the Main Street. Lucca is such a fun beautiful city would definitely recommend you won’t be disappointed! Because it’s so central some people may find it quite loud but didn’t bother us at all. Chiara the apartment manager met us outside & showed us round , from booking to arriving it all ran really smoothly & although we never needed any help she was at the end of the phone if required.

Best apartment in Lucca!

This is a very stylish apartment close to the centre of Lucca. A perfect location just infront of the main shopping street with restaurants and bars just round the corner. The furnishings, curtains, kitchen, bathrooms are all of a very high standard. The towels and bed linen also tip top. Bed very comfortable. A lot of natural light from the big windows. Feels very safe inside and out. We really loved staying there. Judy

A fantastic month in Lucca

Our apartment was centrally located in the heart of Lucca. Everything is a short walk away. The kitchen is equipped with all up-to -date appliances. A PAM grocery is nearby, gelato across the street and a great restaurant is around the corner. The HVAC and WiFi worked perfectly and the beds are comfortable. The cook top induction stove needs operating instructions in the welcome book - took a while to guess how the lock worked.

Our family felt at home

Our family felt at home, and the luxury of this apartment was welcomed. It can get somewhat noisy of the nighttime, but this is truly outweighed by the location. You are in the heart of Lucca. With shops and restaurantsIt's at your doorstep. It's spacious than it appears in the photos. Impressive luxury bathroom with smaller ensuite linked to main bedroom. Quality and comfort best describes this homely flat. We fell in love with Lucca and will come back!

The apartment is in the hearth of Lucca city center. It is in a cross of two shopping streets. The streets are load on Saturday night and the window are not old style noice not reducing :) the apartment is very nice decorated. Two bathroom with showers is a great plus. We used the wash-machine and dryer during our stay. Chiara our host was nice and provided us all flexibility we needed. High recommended traveling in coupleswith kids.

Great location in the center of it all

I loved the location of this beautiful apartment! So close to everything - great restaurants, cafes and shopping, all a stone's throw away. Easy access to the city walls. In the apartment, the bedrooms are a good size, and the bathrooms are modern and well equipped with really nice size showers. Bright and airy, with high ceilings and original details. For a long stay, it would be nice to receive more than one kitchen towel. A few things are probably due for replacement - the kitchen kettle worked intermittently, the non-stick pan has much of the surface scratched off, making it unsafe to use, the hair dryer is ineffective.

Almost perfect for us with 3 exceptions

The apartment is magnificent. It is very large, with modern appliances and comfortable. The location is in the middle of the action and everything is 3 to 5 minute walk away. It is not quiet. The corner just below the windows overlooks a busy intersection and people are there until 2 or 3am. The description fails to mention how challenging the "26 steps" are to the first floor. My wife and I are in our 70's and the steps were a problem. We also noted some black mold in the shower. All in all it was a fine place to stay in Lucca for more physically fit travelers.

A Charming and Centrally Located Apartment Within Lucca's Walls

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights, having moved from a week's stay in a larger apartment ("The Medieval Penthouse" managed by the same company--Lucca Apartments and Villas) after our children and grandchildren--7 in all-- left for home. The Casa Ugolino was as centrally located as our former place and it was so easy to "spoke out" to explore all parts of Lucca from our doorstep. The apartment was clean and well-appointed. Ideal, really. The bathrooms were very modern and well-designed, as was the kitchen, complete with a combined washer/dryer. We appreciated the seasonings, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar left in the cabinets. Once again, management must take a bow: Chiara was always responsive and ready to assist. Calls/texts were answered within minutes. The street was a bit noisy on Easter Saturday with street musicians and large family celebrations but it all quieted down around 8:30PM and the remaining evenings were quiet. There is a wonderful gelato establishment, I Gilato di Piero, right across the street on the Via Roma. The one-hour nightly Puccini concerts nearby are well-worth attending. Would we stay here again? Lovely, Clean Apartment

The apartment is in a great location, at the intersection of the popular via Fillungo, which is teeming with people all day & night, and great views of all the action out the dining room window. There are stairs leading up to the apartment (no lift), but we managed ok with two large bags thanks to a landing between two sets of stairs. The apartment is lovely, just as pictured. The dining table chairs were comfortable the sofa, so-so. The room was well lit. The apartment stayed warm enough in winter. Hallway & bedroom armoires and dresser offered ample storage space. The main bed was comfortable with tables as nightstands per side. A heads up for light sleepers: the bedroom windows didn't keep out the sound very well there was noise from people on the streets well into the wee hours, plus the street cleaner (who makes multiple passes), and delivery & work vehicles starting around 6am. The large shower had decent water pressure, and plenty of hot water for back to back showers. The bathroom had ample storage & was well lit. Kitchen appliances all worked and there was good counter space. The washer/dryer was a plus and a large stendino/clothes drying rack is included. The WiFi was very strong (approx 140Mbps download), perfect for business and streaming! We truly enjoyed our Christmas holidays in this apartment. In all, a lovely place and a good stay.

Semplicemente wow. Appartamento centralissimo, nel meraviglioso centro storico di Lucca. recentemente ed impeccabilmente ristrutturato, corrisponde in pieno alle foto. Il doppio bagno un bel plus. Cucina ben attrezzata, c'è anche una lavasciuga. Nei dintorni tutto e anche di più. Vale assolutamente il prezzo richiesto
