Communication from the managing agent, Interhome, was very poor. Issues were reported promptly with photos and escalated via Vrbo, however we did not receive a response until late in our stay. Although we were advised a “local team” would be in touch, no contact was made while we were staying at the property.We stayed as a family with a toddler and newborn. The property was not presented to an acceptable standard on arrival. Due to hygiene concerns, we had to purchase cleaning products and clean the kitchen and dining areas ourselves, including wiping down walls, before we could use them.There were multiple cleanliness issues, including food and debris in cupboards/drawers, dirty kitchen surfaces and items needing cleaning before use, and mould in the washing machine. There were also maintenance problems, including damaged furniture, a faulty shower control and initial issues with the TV.Of particular concern was the staircase, which has no bannister/handrail, making it difficult to use safely with young children.We did receive a partial refund via Vrbo, however the overall condition of the property and poor communication from Interhome were disappointing.Lossiemouth is a fantastic destination and we have stayed in several other properties locally without issue. Based on this experience, we would not stay here again or book with Interhome.
