Character without comfort

Pros: Old house, lots of character.
Cons: Rooms could be much more comfortable. Staff could be friendlier and smile to their clients. Complaints from clients could be taken with more care.
Location: Lovely hiking area. Good wines, beautiful vinyards.
The rooms of the hotel have character, but are not comfortable. If you stay at a room close to the staircase, you will hear all the movements and voices on the steps (in the corridor), plus you will be woken up by the automatic lights in the corridor which illuminate your room through the inside window whenever someone passes by.

This was in a great location.

Pros: Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
The hotel was in the middle of the town, not too far of a walk from the train station. The room was a little dated, but very clean and large. The staff was so-so. One man was very helpful by helping us with our luggage (no elevator) and giving us information about the area, while one woman was very rude to us.
