3 room cabin, two air conditioners, which were needed. 42 degrees outside, so didn’t do much. Cabin was great, quiet and cooooool.

Picked up from the train station after the train was very late in arriving. Taken back to station for our departure with friendly service. Room was very good ,aircon good and I was supplied with a requested breakfast basket. Overall I found Saltbush to be friendly and helpful with my requests.

Surrounded by a lovely outdoor area. Thermally baths included and were amazing. The slab but was just perfect. Comfortable bed with amazing pillows. Hot showers and spacious bathroom. Kitchen facilities, Smeg appliances and very private. Will differently stay again.

Top class accommodation.

We stayed at the Saltbush Retreat for three nights in a slab hut and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. A lot of detail has gone into the presentation and comfort inside and out. It's position is handy to the Qantas Museum and the Stockman Hall of fame. Thank you to the management of Saltbush Retreat for making our trip to Longreach so memorable.

We really enjoyed the friendly service provided by Wendy at check-in after a long drive and throughout our stay. We were even invited to enjoy a hot tub experience under the stars which was a highlight. Wendy provided an additional roller bed at no additional cost, as my partner had trouble sleeping. It was a unique experience. Outdoor baths were a treat, but our bed was a bit saggy. Close to Stockmans Hall of fame and Qantas museum but too far to walk to town.

Saltbush is a lovely quiet place about 2kms out of town. We just stayed in a cabin which was ok but pretty basic. Just needs towel rails in bathroom. Having now seen inside a slab hut, I would be tempted to stay in one of those. Cabin was clean and comfy. Were glad for the extra 2 blankets on the first night as we didn't put heating on. Ron, the manager kindly picked us up from the train stn. Saltbush is walking distance to Qantas museum and Stockman's Hall of Fame which was great. There is no transport (unless you have a car) from Saltbush. We got taxi into town first day ($15) and grabbed some supplies. Then each evening we got the courtesy bus from the Birdcage hotel to pick us up and drop us back. Shame Saltbush doesn't do a couple of courtesy runs into town, say 10am and 2pm which would be great. We still had a great time. Lovely place to stay. Highly recommend.
