We arrived a little later than planned due to a 2 hour flight delay but were greeted enthusiastically by the owner’s mother who spoke no English. We muddled through the walk through of this amazingly beautiful trulli but later the owner and her daughter came and explained a little more in English.
The trulli is picture postcard beautiful both inside and out.
I like to cook so found the kitchen a little lacking. I did however learn to use a Bialetti caffitiera and cook porridge on the stove (usually microwave).
The trulli was further out of Locorotondo than expected so we needed to drive in to the town or supermarket.
Locorotondo is perfectly situated to visit many of the towns in northern Puglia. Alberobello is very close by and an amazing UNESCO site. Did not disappoint. We ventured to the north and south coast with ease and even as far as Matera (not Puglia I know). Castellana Grotte is not to be missed. An amazingly awesome cave system.
Although I have spoken of some negatives with the property, l would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Puglia.
