Clean room, great place to stay and very friendly staff. The only downside was the sofabed in the family room. Very hard and squeaked with every movement. Fine for small children and those who don't move in their sleep! The double bwd was really comfy though.

As ever the reception staff at Annadale Water were outstanding (Especially Helen & Lisa). We had a difficult trip due to the car breaking down at the hotel and they were both accommodating and helpful. Ensuring the trauma of the event was not added to by pushy staff wanting us to vacate the room. The lake behind is just a fantastic addition to the stay here , giving you somewhere so much nicer to walk the dogs than around the car park. We actually look forward to our stays here, and will be back.

Basic motel accommodation, expensive for what it offers. Poor/dated lighting and heating made for a very gloomy room. WiFi OK. Receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The adjacent services provide only fast food options, including probably the most disappointing McDs I've ever encountered.

Avoid at all cost, unless you like cold showers. We stayed in room 15. On the arrival there was no hot (or even warm) water, the sink was blocked and a broken metal tissue box was laying on the bathroom floor. We were tired and went straight to bed hoping that the hot water would be there in the morning. When we woke up the water was still cold and there was nobody to complaint to as the reception was closed. We had to start packing to continue our trip so we phoned hotels.com to complain. When we were ready to check out the receptionist was there and she admitted that they had broken boiler and was ready to refund us. However, because we already complained to hotels.com she said the refund would be issued through them. After few days we were told the refund request was refused, so we decided to seek redress in the court.

TV didnt work - No Signal. The shower was dreadful - I actually scaleded my wrist. Only one setting - Hot as the Sun. I needed that shower as s i had an important medical issue but it fried my head. An awful experience. I will be demanding a full refund

This was probably the worst Hotel room I have stayed in in the last 10years, it was dirty and smelly, and very badly maintained, If it wasn't 1am in the morning when I arrived I wouldn't have stayed

Clean and basic but comfortable

Good price for the night, clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly staff. The only problem was there was no one on reception at 7.40pm. A note was left on the desk, asking customers to ring a mobile number. But as a person who had just arrived from abroad and didnt have a UK mobile phone couldn’t ring the number. Luckily another customer who was also waiting and had a UK mobile phone, rang the number for me.

The property is by the M74 on the service station by a lake but a bit remote from the towns Ideal for a traveller the room was nice and the view of the lake from the small balcony was good. It connects to the services so you can get food and some shops etc it is about 10 miles to Moffat and lockerby for mor bigger shops. Not for this reply but I have a problem with what Expedia show with pricing being displayed but not giving you the price shown
