Very good location - 5 mins walking distance to main bus and train station, which made easy for day trips. Great breakfast buffet . We were on 20th Fl and had a corner view - the room was very large and we had an amazing view .

Modern Hotel near city center

Overall, we had an excellent stay at the Grand Plaza Hotel. It's walkable to the major sites. The staff were all very helpful and allowed us a late check out and others an early check in if they could. The breakfast was amazing with so many choices and the staff was very on top of refilling things that were emptied. We had a beautiful room, with an amazing view of the city and the other room had a castle view. The two things to be aware of - 1. The A/C works but not as well as other hotels we visited on Slovenia and it was an unusually cool few days. I'm not sure what it would do in the heat of the summer. 2. The bathroom is beautiful but has a shower/tub combo with a deep tub that was quite slippery. That may be a problem for some.
