Loved the beautiful, spacious, vintage style two bedroom apartment with a lovely view of Ljubljana castle. The kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge, microwave oven, stove, cooking utensils, dishwashing liquid, drying rack, cutlery, and chinaware. There were also plenty of charging points around the apartment and the wifi is secure. Despite not offering daily cleaning, we could request complimentary refills of the coffee and tea sachets and additional towels if we needed. Although there was only one bathroom, it was spacious and had good heating so one does not feel cold coming out of the shower. Additionally, entering and exiting the apartment building via the large wooden castle-like doors added to the charm. The staff were also cheerful and took initiative to recommend points of interest and local restaurants. Would totally choose to stay here again, even if the place is a 15 minute walk from the bus station, because of its charm and proximity to the old town.

It was a lovely stay. The room was very spacious and quiet. All staff were very helpful and responded promptly to our needs. Leonard was particularly helpful and gave us lots of advice where to eat, shop and sightseeing. We ran out of hot water for showers on two occasions. The floors creaked when we walked on it.

Perfect location in the center - easy walk everywhere but on a quiet street. Loved our apartment for a family of four. Clean, comfy and easy. Note that there is no parking onsite- if arriving by car get instructions on where to park ahead of time. Once we knew, parking the car was easy and inexpensive.

The building is beautiful and in the main shopping and historic area. The apartment was clean, and well stocked. Service was A1 - lots of extra information, assistance with bags, and even a ride to the train station!

Loved our stay at Barbo Palace. Building has so much character. The area is amazing. Being a pedestrian only area, it was so nice to explore on foot. The staff were incredible. They made sure that we had everything that we needed and helped us arrange transport back to the airport.

The Barbo Palace Apartments are in the perfect location, in the heart of town. The building is beautiful inside and the rooms are clean and spacious. It was great to have a kitchenette in the apartment, although there is an abundance of great places to eat nearby! Staff super friendly too.

We found Ljubljana a delightful stop on our holiday and the Barbo Palace was equally enjoyable. Location excellent with comfortable beds and good amenities (fridge, cooker etc) if you were staying longer. Nice restaurant recommendations as well. Only two drawbacks - no comfy chairs to sit on for the moments you didn’t want to be out and about and it was noisy in our room on a couple of nights (although appreciate we were in peak season) All in all would recommend.

The location is excellent- right in the center of Old Town and no stairs to get to the property. Unfortunately, due to being in the center of town it is loud at night. The property was very accommodating and the room was clean and met our needs.
