Gregan's Retreat · Lisdillon · Waterfront

*MINIMUM TWO NIGHT STAY*

Explore Lisdillon’s coastal farm and gain access to 4km of breathtaking, exclusive beaches.

Birdwatch by the river, dip in the ocean then unwind by the woodfire with a glass of Lisdillon Pinot Noir.

Stunning vineyard views and morning coffees on the deck await you at Gregan Retreat.

It’s the perfect base to explore Tasmania's scenic East Coast, such as Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park (1hr drive) and Maria Island ferry (25 min drive).

The Gregan Retreat is just that—a weatherboard retreat situated on the historic Lisdillon estate, overlooking the vineyard and river.

Imagine yourself in the mornings, opening the double doors from the bedroom to the spacious deck as you gaze over the native lands and sheep farm.

Once you’ve taken in the surrounding views, stroll for a brief few minutes to the nearby beaches and Lisdillon’s 5km private coastline, take a dip in the ocean and breathe in the fresh air.

This relaxed, cosy haven was named after a dear family friend, Kerry Gregan. Kerry used to love staying here, spending her time painting the landscape. You’ll see her art displayed throughout the house.

Expansive views of the estate
Wherever you look, there’s a different part of the landscape to take in. Sheep grazing, river flowing, or waves hitting the secluded shores.

Deck with double door access
Open the double doors to a large deck overlooking the estate, perfect for lounging on the day bed with a glass of sauvignon blanc in hand.

Bedroom
Make yourself at home in the bedroom featuring views of the Lisdillon estate and a queen bed waiting for you to jump in.

Open-plan dining & living
Choose from a selection of CDs to listen to while you cook or read, or switch on the telly as you relax next to the crackling wood fire.

Kitchen
Everything you need for your morning coffee and tea, or to cook up a storm with local ingredients you can pick up on a drive to Coles Bay.

Bathroom
Featuring a spacious shower and a range of products available for you to use.

Private beach
Lisdillon Estate is one of the few lucky places in the world that has its very own private beach. Lisdillon's property extends to low tide mark so its boundaries grow bigger and smaller every second! Even though it is private and most of the time there won't be another person in sight you will occasionally come across other guests and people who rent shacks on the farm.

Private river
Take a moment to breathe and unwind on a quick stroll to the nearby river.

A fisherman’s haven
Trot down to the seafront of the Lisdillon Estate or rivulet and enjoy all the aquatic life on offer. We ask that all fish caught in the river and estuary are on a strictly catch and release basis (unless you are going to eat them) in order to preserve the environment of the river and estuary. Please only use lures, not bait hooks.

The sea out the front of our property offers bay flathead, salmon, squid, cod, crayfish, and so much more. In the Lisdillon Rivulet, you’ll also find bream, oysters, brown trout, native galaxia and many other creatures.

- Private river with plenty of fish to catch (and release)
- Private beaches (while the 5km coastline is owned by the Lisdillon Estate, you may see a few other guests from time to time)
- If you have a boat you can take it out to sea in front of our property

You may not necessarily see us as we are quite busy on the farm, but we are quick to respond to any queries. Please message us if you have any questions or would like to purchase wine.

Make the most of the expansive lands by walking, swimming, fishing or bringing your kayaks and exploring the river and coastline.

Or if you fancy a venture beyond the estate, eat at one of the local cafes or restaurants in Swansea, Triabunna or Orford (all within half an hour's drive). The award-winning restaurant Piermont is only a ten-minute drive. Other local adventures include whale watching, bike riding, quad bike touring, and more.

All in all, Lisdillon is the perfect escape for individual travellers, couples, families, or friends.

We advise guests to bring their own private vehicle as public transport is infrequent.

Though we drink the water, we do advise guests to bring their own drinking water.

We advise guests to do their main grocery shopping before they get here as we are located 21km from the nearest town.

Such a beautiful and peacful stay. The property, rich with its history and the cottage was so adorable and cozy. Plenty to see and explore, Mary and Aaron were such accommodating hosts, quick to help with the fireplace and dropping off some of their wine (Incredible bottle of pinot noir) We'd recommend this place for anyone planning on travelling down the east coast Thank you so much for having us, it was the most perfect stop for us to slow down, rest and recover for the remainder of our travels
