Bad experience
The location which is indeed great. The rest, needs a big improvement. When booking the property, the address communicated was 3 km away. Tried in vain to check with the phone number provided. Had to call VRBO UK to get some support. True, when we finally managed to get hold of the landlord, he kindly agreed to hand the keys directly to our son - but requested a direct payment of the full amount, while we had already done a downpayment. The apartment is quite different from the pictures in the announcement, a bad surprise. Broken mirror in the bathroom, broken poster hanging from the wall, run down windows, a recent repair in cement on the floor. The windows do not block any of the external noise, and since the apt is on the ground floor, every time someone was passing by and talking in the street, it woke us up. The sofa bed is absolutely in need to be replaced with a serious one. Many of those issues can be improved in a second, and I recommend the landlord to do so asap. Too bad indeed for the price of the property per night.
