I was very satisfied with my recent stay at the Visalia Marriott at the Convention Center. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Everything was spotless, including the lobby, common areas, and the rooms. And to top it all off, everything was easy to find and use. There was nothing to complain about. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again next time I'm in Visalia.

Don't stay here!

This is pretty normal almost everywhere you go now, not being greeted, so I guess I should just get use to it. Then we get up to our room and all you here is a non stop barking dog. Its a little much after a 6 hour drive. Then the refrigerator only had 3 feet on it and was leaning to the side so the door wouldn't close properly. The coffee pot was dirty and the area round it had hair. The couch had dirty spots of something. The bathroom floor was dirty and the door to the bathroom was cut out to fit past the toilet. Thank goodness I had my clorox wipes! I chose to stay at a Marriott, usually its a nice experience, I could have stayed at one of the nasty motels closer to the Sequoia National Park for a better price and the same experience.

I was really looking forward to a relaxing stay, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected. The room was not properly cleaned – the curtains were stained, the windows were filthy, and the bathroom was not hygienic at all. The entire room felt very worn and outdated. The beds were also a major issue: they creaked loudly with every little movement, making it almost impossible to get a good night’s sleep. The whirlpool was also a big letdown. The water was greenish and full of dead flies – it looked very unclean and unmaintained. I had booked my room with breakfast included via Expedia, but I didn’t receive a breakfast voucher at check-in. This led to an awkward situation the next morning when the waitress confronted me about it in front of other guests. Although she did eventually sort it out and got me a coupon, I was asked to sign a bill. When I asked her about it, she told me I wouldn’t be charged, but two weeks after checkout I still haven’t received any invoice via email, so I can’t verify anything. What made things even worse was the unprofessional behavior of the waitress. After the incident, she started gossiping about me with her colleagues at the bar – just 10 meters away from where I was sitting. This was completely inappropriate and disrespectful, especially considering I had booked breakfast in advance. Overall, a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Definitely not worth the price.

We stayed at the Visalia Marriott for the Miss CA Pageant. Our room was huge! Plenty of room for all of my daughter’s clothing and suitcases. The room was clean and airy. House keeping staff was always friendly and accommodating. We ordered room service several times late at night and the food was always quickly delivered by a friendly member of the staff. Front desk staff was super friendly and informative. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.
