Upon arrival we’re told we were across the street because those are the rooms that book through third party sites. The room was awful. The screen door fell off the track as soon as we touched it. The curtains were full of dust at the top. The carpet had a huge nasty looking stain. Both beds had stains above on the ceiling. Then came the bathroom the one ceiling tile by the sink was missing a piece, you could see right up in there. The tiles over the shower were stained so bad they were brown in spots. We went to the restaurant the food was over cooked. The indoor pool area over by the spa was dripping from the ceiling tiles. We expected so much more as we had been here years ago and it was nothing like we remembered. What a waste of money.

We booked the Indian Head Resort because of the advertised amenities. We arrived to the resort only to be told that the outdoor pool was not open and it should be by the next day. The outdoor pool was not available to use at all during our stay. The Indoor pool was available however it was overcrowded due to the lack of the outdoor pool. Also, both hot tubs required reservations and were only able to use for 20 minutes- I am not sure if this is the norm or because of COVID. We arrived to our outdoor hot tub reservation in the afternoon & needed to ask the people in the tub to kindly leave as it was now our reserved time, so this cut into our specified 20 minutes. This happened again at our night reservation. When I booked the hot tub time for Thursday & Friday I was told we had it for 20 minutes. On Friday we needed to change our afternoon reservation, when I called the hotel the front desk said we only had 15 minutes because it was the weekend. I received different information each time I called to make a reservation. The hot tub was also not hot, it was luke warm at best. We were also told that we were staying in a newly renovated room- I am not sure what was newly renovated as the bathroom ceiling tiles had water stains, very little water pressure which made it nearly impossible to shower appropriately. All in all, very disappointing stay and will not be back. Staff was friendly.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are so sorry to hear your stay was not up to our standards. Hot tub reservations are required due to COVID-19, which we understand is not ideal for everyone. We wish you all the best and thank you again for your thoughtful feedback.

First night we stayed in the little cabins. Cute, great fireplace just really unique. Drawback was the sofa bed was terrible and if you took a shower it was very dark. Second night we were in the Resort. Great beds, beautiful view, super comfortable. The staff were pleasant and accommodating both at the front desk, gift shop and restaurant. Only serious drawback is there is no easy way to get to the pool if you can't handle stairs or are in a wheelchair. They seriously need to address that. Otherwise would very much recommend and would stay again.

Christmas tree package

My family just got back from a Christmas Tree weekend at Indian Head Resort and I'm here to say we had a great time in every way. The Indian Head is located in a really nice area of Franconia Notch and looked like a winter postcard when we arrived as it had just snowed. Check in was a breeze, the lobby was well decorated for Christmas and even had a BIG gingerbread house and a fireplace. The kids loved the place right away. We settled into our room which was roomy and had this great big HDTV which really put the kids over the top (me too!). Dinner was very good, prime rib was just right, the wife liked her scallops and the kids found stuff they liked off the special kids menu. That evening they had what must have been a senior citizen group in the lounge with a special entertainer. This guy was great and my family and expecially the kids loved him. Then, when Santa made his apperance, the kids went ballistic and it took two hours for them to get to sleep they were so excited. The next day we went to the nearby tree farm and chose our tree and took a wagon ride through the snow covered fields, which was a treat for everyone. We got back to the Indian Head in time to swim in the outdoor pool which seems to be open all year. Kind of neat to be in a heated outdoor pool while there is snow on the ground. We enjoyed another good dinner after which everyone was pooped, so we went back to room and watched Tv and got a good night sleep. Breakfast the next morning was a big buffet and I went hog wild!

Restaurant a disappointment

Friendly staff and great views. Supper of chicken parm tasted like boiled chicken breast with plenty of fat. Hard (old) pasta. must have been sitting all day. No cold water in the morning. Both faucets had hot water! What a novel idea. Breakfast menu listed some great sounding breakfasts. Went to breakfast and was told restaurant was closed but they were offering a Continental breakfast. We had to go to McDonalds. We chose this hotel because it had a full service restaurant and the on line menu looked great. Will not go there again.

Fun family visit

All was very good. Food excellent. Shuttle bus ride to bicycle trail was a nice service. Loved the clown for children's entertainment. This was our first visit and we will definately be back. Our son was sad that we had to leave.

Indian Head Resort-Group Activities

As part of the ""Stargazers"" group, I've been going to IndianHead for our bi-annual ""psychic"" weekends for over 15 years. The accomodations are comfortable and convenient, but the staff makes it a ""homecoming""! Whether I come alone, or with my friends, I don't need to worry about anything--it's all taken care of. I wouldn't need to leave the resort all weekend, if it weren't for the ""lure"" of the outlets. For me, it's the perfect get-away--nice, comfortable room, meals (I'd want to eat there, even if it wasn't part of ""the package""), pool, spa, lounge, psychic readings, and shop till I drop!

Great Time at Indian Head Resort

Our family stopped at the Indian Head Resort for a 3 day getaway. The check in went very smooth and the front desk staff were helpful and informative. We upgraded to the meal plan as our 2 kids got to stay & eat free with my wife and I taking the meal plan. When we got to our room, had a nice view of the lake in the back, our kids took one look at the large screen HDTV and declared this to be the best place we had ever stayed at. We went down to the pool for a quick swim before dinner and discovered that the outdoor pool was still open - in fact it stays open all year. It was a beautiful crisp fall afternoon and it was great to soak in an ourdoor pool and hot tub while admiring the wonderful NH foliage. On to dinner, food was very good, service was fast and friendly and the kids like ordering off their very own kids menu. There was entertainment in the lounge that sounded pretty good, but the kids couldn't wait to get back to that TV and so, being tired from our trip up we all went back to the room and just kicked back and watched a movie . Next morning we started our day with a great buffet breakfast and then headed out for sightseeing, trip to an apple orchard and some shopping in Tilton, the resort had a coupon book for the outlet stores and we found some good bargains. Back to the resort for another good dinner and evening of watching that HDTV! Same routine the following day, the weather was perfect, great sightseeing and relaxing in the room - we hated to leave and will be back again.
