These hotel remains consistent through the years. The staff at reception, restaurant and in general services are outstanding. Breakfast ms are impressive in variety and abundance of choices, located in a quiet area of Lima next to a large park, Sonesta offers peace after a busy day. Many cafes and restaurants at a walking distance. Miraflores and Barranco are 4 miles away or $3 Uber ride. The breakfast team is impressive! Having observed them for 7 days they work as as a team ensuring that you are satisfied. That culture is extended to other areas as well. Stayed on the 4th floor and my only about this hotel is that rooms are beginning to show some wear and tear but the mattress are like clouds to rest. The staff (many bilingual) is such a gem that they will accommodate any need you may have. PS Give the restaurant a chance is not as busy as the famous Tanta across the street.

I always stay here!

I travel to Lima on business two or three times a year and always stay at Sonesta el Olivar. Great service, clean and comfortable rooms, great breakfast, excellent for lunch or dinner, convenient neighborhood. This time we needed some special attention on our reservation and were accomodated. At check in the young woman at the front desk (Natalia) could not have been more gracious and accommodating.

The hotel is very quite, convenient, and it is located in a nice area, nonetheless, the internet service wasn't' good. I'll recommend to have a wiser internet coverage as the room i was in, I had to log in many times, and the internet were not functioning in the bathroom only the bedroom.

Disappointing Stay After Nearly 3 Weeks – Won’t Be Returning I stayed at Sonesta Olivar for nearly three weeks due to ongoing work in my apartment nearby. Initially, the hotel felt like good value for the price. However, the experience quickly declined. I was moved to another room during my stay, and on multiple occasions, I had to follow up with staff to request basic amenities that were either missing or not replenished after housekeeping. Despite clearly being a couple, the nightly sweets left on our pillow were always for one person — a small but telling oversight that reflects poor attention to guest details. The most frustrating part came at checkout. A staff member insisted I pay an 18% tax, even though my wife is Peruvian and we were staying together. I had only just arrived in Lima a few days prior, and this felt more like an opportunistic policy enforcement rather than a fair or welcoming gesture. Unfortunately, this experience reinforced the sense that some places in Lima still operate with outdated hospitality standards. I won’t be staying at Sonesta Olivar again.

We love this hotel! We were undecided whether to stay in Mira Flores or at the Sonesta. This was the perfect choice. Super comfortable beds, delicious buffet breakfast with eggs to order, excellent service and housekeeping, afternoonsnacks and turn down service. But special thanks to: Daniela at the front desk helped us with booking extra nights and with the business center. Freysa always took good care of us at breakfast every morning. Ariana made our room smell amazing and organized us. Ronald is the man! His pisco sours are the best in Lima. Plus he was our go to man any time we needed help. He helped us with so many things. We loved the hotel being nestled in El Olivar park. It was so quiet and peaceful here. We never even heard housekeeping in the halls and had to use an alarm to wake us up each morning. Lots of little shops and restaurants. We will miss watching residents in the park every morning during breakfast. We will definitely stay here again! Only room for improvement is responding to messages to this app. We had to call the hotel. They also arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport on arrival.
